MLB 2K12 Wishlist

I love the mlb2k games. it is very convenient how it is on many systems. I would like to see some improvements though:

1. Make the players have better expressions in there face. When they are diving for a ball they usually just have a straight face and there not even looking at the ball. When the players are running they have a straight face when in real life you would usually be straining your face.

2. Put more detail in the face, like facial hair. That is the only problem i have. It would be cool to see the players grow a beard throughout the season, and it would be the person controlling the game choose to shave it off. Also the players model in the game is most of the time based on their picture. Kevin Youkilis had a fu manchu in the beginning of the 2010 season and never had it again, and thats how he is modeled in the game. Also Clay Buchholz had short hair at the beginning of the season and now has long hair. I would also like to see the players who have dreadlocks (Jose Reyes, Andrew McCutchen, Darnell McDonald, etc.) Have dreadlocks all around their head, not just the back.

3. I think when you make a player you should be able to upload a picture for their player picture, not just the model.

4. I think there should be more facial hair and head hair styles when you create a player.

5. Items in the game the players use should be brand items, bats, gloves, batting gloves, wristbands, etc. and the wristbands and elbow/shin gaurds should have the players numbers on it.

6. The players jogging off the field should have more free movement, not all doing the same thing. It is not realistic when a pitcher coming out of the bullpen puts his glove on his chest and runs to the mound that way.

7. I would like to see rainouts, weather effecting the gameplay, etc.

Two things I've noticed today that I wish they would change:

1. They should make it where if you pick any alternate jersey, and you're the road team, the pants will stay grey. For example, the Angels have a red jersey that they wear at home games AND road games. In real life, if they wear the red jersey on the road, they wear grey pants, but in the game it makes the pants white. If you wear an "alternate" jersey, the pants should change depending if you're the road or home team.

2. The ball REALLY needs to quit suctioning into the computer, and player-controlled gloves. There have been many times where I hit a line drive to the 2nd baseman, or short stop, or any other player for that matter, and the ball's trajectory shows it would have sailed over his glove into the outfield, but instead it gets sucked into his glove for an out. It's bullcrap.

Just had mix and match jerseys like Madden. That way you can wear any pants with any jersey, and any hat.

The playoff atmosphere is still weak. When i played boston vs atlanta in the world series, in the 9th inning boston was ahead 3-2. 2 outs and the fans was still in there seats and not much too crowd noise either. Also more stats are needed, because MLB today is done at the post season. There needs to be playoff stats from past years with each team and commentary. The towels from the home team would be a nice addition as well, seeing them waving would be nice, along with standing in there seats at critical times in the game.

I agree. When you're in the playoffs, it just doesn't feel like it. It feels like a regular season game with "World Series" or "ALCS/NLCS" graphics on top.

I own PS3 and now I know everyone says that 2k is not better then the show but I totally disagree..I been a 2k fan since Mlb 2k5 and even tho I took the last couple years of of buying baseball games cause I'd rather play madden Just recently since madden sucks horribly anymore I got back into baseball just like in my childhood days and I got to say hand down 2k11 kills the show (only thing the show got is good graphics period stfu)and I can't wait for 2k12 and one thing I would love for the developers to do is add minor league teams to quick match or even let you play with them online head to head. I would also like to see them team up with MLB NETWORK to do weekly shows in franchise you know like they use to do in NFL 2k5 another thing is why doesn't the manager argue calls I would love to see a bad ball/strike call and the manager flip **** maybe even a brawl after a batter gets hit with a pitch and the benches clear..I would also like to see a change in weather patterns like if it is partly cloudy during a game why can't in like the 5th inning it start raining and the game has to be delayed I know people would be like well oh that would be boring doing nothing while your game is delayed but hasn't anyone ever heard of the skip button they can just add that or maybe mini games? I would also love to see more respect for my Pirates 2k lmfao jkjk also in my player mode you should go through a college playoff game and a draft instead of just picking your team..I have lots of ideas but I would talk everyone to sleep lol

Just a few off the top of my head:

1. Better graphics. This game looks like a game that was made in 2006 before developers really got to know the next gen systems.

2. Better fielding. The computer makes some funny choices on who's to get a fly ball and it causes some glitching. And sometimes the players are just too slow in their motions. It bugs the crap out of me.

3. Create-a-prospect for the draft.

4. Unlockable throwback uniforms and ballparks.

5. International prospect scouting and signing.

If someone gets injured, the whole lineup gets out of whack. If you have a bad player in the majors but is doing good and you want to keep him in MLB, the computer sends him down.
