Re: PC Roster

Status report:
tomorrow I will finish the current 25 man rosters of the AL West. I do not have touched other teams or their minor leagues by now. But I have touched nearly every rating and tendency of the players that are on the current 25 man rosters of the AL West teams. I have played some test games and as far as I can say the edited ratings make the game more realistic. If somebody wants to have this little beta version I can upload it and you can look into it.

Re: PC Roster

WUDL'S ROSTER AND SLIDER SET
============================
This set is meant for gameplay realism. You should not look too much at the OVR of the players.
I included my slider set also for those who want to test it. I recommend using mine or Mkharh's sliders.
They can both be found at operationsports.com: http://www.operationsports.com/forums/mlb-2k-sliders/

05/12/2012 - Beta V 0.1
***********************
- I only finished the 25 man rosters of the AL West teams by now. I did not touch any other teams
- I edited nearly every rating (batting, pitching, fielding) and tendencies as well as position abilities
and pitch types of all players on the 25 man rosters of those teams
- The game should play way more realistic now (as far as I can tell at least) since I looked deep into
split stats which 2k hadn't done obviously
- the contact ratings should overall be a little lower which lowers the amount of pop ups and flyballs
- in my test games I had pretty accurate scores and stats. I had low scoring games and high scoring games,
a fine amount of walks and k's, enough extra-base hits, and so on
- the ingame ratings are all based on a system. I made a excel sheet for it to assign accurate ratings which
are depending on the real life stats of the players

HOW TO INSTALL
**************
- Take the two files that are included in the folder and copy them into your MLB 2k12 saves folder
(They both are named "bambooland")
- Start the game and load the two files
- Maybe some guys show up with a generic bald head as far as you haven't downloaded the cyberfaces of
DetroitStyle and me over at mvpmods.com. I would recommend downloading them. It only takes a few minutes

FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS FOR GAMEPLAY
*********************************
- Use CLASSIC HITTNG and TOTAL CONTROL PITCHING, I have not tested analog hitting since I hate it
- Use both USER FIELDING and USER RUNNING
- work the pitch count

CREDITS
*******
- especially to BSU-Fan who allowed me to use his first roster version as a base (BIG THANK YOU)
- Detroit-Style for his color chart I included
- to all the rosters guys out there

Thanks to BSU-Fan, if you are reading here.
I stumbled across this thread while looking for some updated PC rosters on this section. I'm an avid PC gamer, I don't have a PS3(Recently got the Show on Vita, but I don't play it that often tbh, gameplay is not as good as console), so I'm stuck with MLB 2k12 for baseball video-gaming, but I've always had a soft spot for 2k, I just felt that other than graphics, this game isn't half as bad as people say it often is. So as I was looking, I clicked on your thread and I literally just read all 7 pages. I am very impressed with all the effort you've put in. I know the 2k PC community is nowhere as huge as the PS3/The Show Community, by just looking at your posts, I can tell that you're a passionate baseball fan, if editing rosters is your thing, then no matter how many people are interested in this roster, the time would still be well spent right? I'm sure there are scattered 2k PC fans out there that would love and greatly appreciate all the hard work you're putting in(including me ). Looking forward to these rosters!

Good thread, just gave it 5 stars and bookmarked it also.

Re: PC Roster

25 man rosters of the AL West should be finished soon. Only the TB Rays are left.

Nice to hear! No rush, but any time table for next beta version? I've played a Rangers-Angels game with your roster/sliders, it was great! Everything felt pretty realistic, from pitch location, hit distribution, choppers/wall balls/line drives. I even drew 3 walks with Josh Hamilton, only 'unrealistic' thing is that I didn't hit a homerun with him.

Re: PC Roster

I am tweaking some things like clutch ratings now and I will upload an AL WEST/EAST BETA Version within the next few hours.

Glad to hear you had a realistic game.

Re: PC Roster

Thanks! Quick question, are these compatible with NoFakeName's face portraits?

Couple of minor things I noticed:
Marlon Byrd's number is 23, not 24
Will Middlebrooks is 64, not 83
Daniel Nava is 66, not 62
I believe Hideki Matsui is still on FA pool, you should add him to Durham Bulls for now.

Other than that, great roster!

Thanks for the numbers. Numbers and heights/weights were things I hadn't looked into by now.
You are right with Matsui. He is on the FA pool since I didn't change anything what was going on in the minor leagues by now and AFAIK Matsui signed only a minor league contract.
But I will add minor leaguers, too.

When I have time today I will correct some heights/weights and potential wrong numbers. Eventually I will update batting stances and pitch deliveries.

EDIT:
Forgot to answer your first question. You mean Raidersbball's mega portrait pack? http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app...&showfile=6618
I will update what I find.
But most should work. E.g. Will Middlebrooks should have a portrait as far as you have installed my roster and Rbball's pack.
