Dumb question here!! I have never downloaded anyones rosters on here before. If I start a franchise and use the lastest rosters downloaded and then you upload a new file. I cant bring that new file into my franchise i have to start over right?/

Yes, you have to start your franchise over again in-order to use the new roster files.

Good thing I am tuning my sliders in spring training and don't have to worry about rosters yet. That and I kinda ruined the Phillies lineup anyways... I traded for a lot of 5-star prospects. Oh well. They're in my AAA team anyways. Won't see them play for another few years.(Game years that is)

Re: MLB 2K12 - COMMUNITY ROSTER EFFORT?

Still adding players. Next upload will have the Mariners & Athletics rosters ready to go for their opening series in Japan. I created Schlichting & the new pitcher for the Mariners Erasmo Ramirez (NOT the guys who used to pitch by the same name - was really hard finding a scouting report on him, but I dug deep and found a solid one on him that even included a breakdown of his percentages of pitches thrown...this is the kinda stuff you get with this roster!!!).

I also added Valle to the Phillies AAA team...

One note (and totally a 2K failure): Walden of the Angels is just terrible. 2K has him as a black skin tone with a side arm throw. I'm trying to fix his pitch type, but his herky-jerky release just isn't in this game. Skin color will just have to be lived with... Unreal.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Re: MLB 2K12 - COMMUNITY ROSTER EFFORT?

Still uploading files...just not posting here each time I do it. I continue to ADD players to the AAA teams, making sure I get as many players in as possible before others jump on this file and begin to work on it. This is LONG and TEDIOUS work, as each player added has a scouting report reviewed, as well as pics and videos. I'm probably putting too much time into this, but I think that if you take the time and look at each team's Major League roster, as well as various AAA (and even some AA) teams, you'll be pleased with the additions. I don't track them, so don't ask. If you want a key AAA player added, let me know.

For example: you Mets fans should be pleased: I've added Matt Den Dekker, Jordany Valdespin, Juan Lagares, Cesar Puello and Sean Kazmar to the roster in the last day. So you'll have plenty of AAA players to choose from - a full boatload of hitters and pitchers for your Franchise. Not all of them, but enough to make you happy...

I've added Engel Beltre, Mike Olt, Jurickson Profar & Michael Bianucci to the Rangers hitters ... and Tanner Scheppers, Robbie Ross, Zach Jackson and Roman Mendez to the pitchers.

Stuff like this...

Yeah, pretty much. I think I've added another player or two since the latest upload, but they've got a solid roster and AAA player, and one prospect on their AAA hitters.

I added a bunch of new White Sox AAA batters. They should be much better. Will need to look at their pitchers. There is no rhyme or reason to my additions, just updating teams. I will eventually (if I have time) take some time to note what team has what... But understand that MIGHT not happen just because of the time element. Once I provide an Opening Day file, you guys who want to continue to work on it can do a lot of helpful things.

I only ask one thing: I've worked really hard on this... when I add a player, I try to research him out as best as possible. What I do NOT want to see are guys being added with blatant mistakes: wrong birthdays, wrong batting side or throwing arms, stances that are way off. This file isn't just about adding names...it's about ACCURACY. if you're not willing to put the time in, then I'd rather you not help on it. Once I hand it off I won't be able to add more players...it would be a waste of time, working on the wrong file. So that's my only request... I'm not trying to sound arrogant, but you guys who use my rosters (this and NBA 2K) know how much work I put into the accuracy of them. It's obvious by the amount of interest in them on 2K Share (most downloads) that there is interest. So imagine the interest level in this if we can team up and put out the best file that I can recall for a 2K baseball game!! thanks... Mike

Could you do like a quick list for each team?

IE....

Angels-
MLB-Complete
AAA-Mostly complete
AA-1 or 2 prospects
A- x
Red Sox-
MLB-Complete
AAA-Mostly complete
AA-1 or 2 prospects
A- x
Orioles-
MLB-Complete
AAA-Mostly complete
AA-1 or 2 prospects
A- x
Indians-
MLB-Complete
AAA-10 prospects
AA-2 or 3 players
A- 1 prospect

etc...
etc...

That way you dont have to type a massive list with 350+ changes, and CAP creations for each team?
