Clutch rating in general, for all players. [Reply]

How about they make the ones they already have freakin work before they add anymore!!!!

How about they leave the stupid gimmicks aside this time around and they give us back the legacy gen control layout-
ship the game with the franchise simmed stats in working order-
let us do formation subs between games and for one team online-
let us select x number of formations and populate those with y
number of plays rather than the crap playbooks they create
expand the number of "items" I can trade
How about allowing us to put our own sounds/music in the game
How about...well I could go on and on and on....

...so absolutely no new attributes until the ones they have flippin work so that a 45 rated O-lineman gives up sacks on nearly every play and the 90+ OL vs 90+ Dl player battles are really battles!!! [Reply]

Instead of adding ratings, they should first adjust overall ratings based on your philosophy (HC). This has been a problem for years now. Dwight Freeney would not be a 97 OVR DE in a 3-4 system. Conversely, if you prefer a spread offense, a QB such as Tyler Thigpen may have a decent rating, but place him in a balanced system, his rating will dip. This will also help AI drafting because teams like the Packers, Ravens, Steelers, etc. will stick to drafting 3-4 lineman as opposed to drafting a DE suited for the 4-3. I am pretty sure we will see many more features from HC 09 implemented in Madden 11. [Reply]

I don't necessarily want any new positional ratings brought in but I would like a few more factors to influence current ratings. Anyway these are what I think would be cool to have in there.

- I really like how in FIFA's manager mode they have match ratings for players & they have form putting the ratings up or down a few points depending on how the player's gone in the last few games. I think having this in Franchise mode would be good & would mirror hot streaks & form slumps.

- Of course altering ratings based on what system the team runs is needed, 3-4/4-3 linemen varies etc.

- Next I'd like to see a versatility rating brought in that could govern how well a player can adapt to different systems or positions.

- Confidence seems to play a big role in how players are playing so maybe have a resilience rating as to how well a player responds to a bad patch like throwing an int, losing a fumble, missing a tackle & stuff. Maybe also have it effect how fast a player recovers from injury. This would also double as a clutch rating so on a game winning drive the tougher players would perform at a higher level compared to nervous players who may not make a big play when needed. [Reply]

I would like to see a footwork rating for all positions! And a Balance ratings! [Reply]

I would like a footwork, clutch, and balance rating, but let's not put too much on EAs plate. I would really like to seen an aggression rating. This would factor in on every position. When playing Madden it's difficult to distinguish between your Brett Favres who will pass up a wide open quick underneath throw for a deep bomb into double coverage which he somehow squeezes in there and your Kyle Ortons who just try to manage the game and not try to do too much. Aggressive players would do the things that could make or break a game or a season. They can be the hero or the goat. On the other end more conservative players will stress consistency, but may not standout and make those big plays in clutch situations. This dynamic would also factor into strategy in franchise. For example, I prefer a defensive play style that is aggressive with plenty of man coverage and blitzing. Although a linebacker may have great physical talents(speed, tackle, etc.) if he isn't aggressive he may not blitz as quickly or strip as often as I would like.Same goes for all other positions. This new rating could add a whole new dimension to the game. [Reply]
