OP, you put together an awesome list! I agree with all of it as it would make for an incredible and immersive franchise experience!

The only thing is, is that EA needs to get the gameplay right before any of this really has significance. The gameplay is miles away...I would love to see all of it added though! [Reply]

They need to make injuries matter like in real life, Look how Tom Bradys injury keep him out well into the the next season. So we need to have more types of injuries that will keep players out and it tell us in the extra point when we are in the off season going into the next season. But our paid trainers need to do more and let us know who need surgery if one of our players is hurt bad enough. And they need to add superbowl wins to the players history. Man Thad you put togather a hellava list.:-) [Reply]

Oh, and maybe not a franchise request but the ability to take a play from the playbook and TURN OFF the play action part of it.

A screen like HC09 with the pick the pick and the info about the pick with commentary from the original hc drafts would be the ideal solution but anything is a step in the right direction. [Reply]

Rookie camp, more extensive training camp, have the ability to negotiate with rookies (or have them hold out; crabtree and smith) through training camp or just extend the signing period...and have more emphasis on in season work outs and practice [Reply]

Thanks all... took some more pieces and added them. I also added changing franchises because after i build up a team i want to switch to a poor team without having to start my franchise over. [Reply]

NOTE: I posted this on the OFFLINE Franchise....lost gamers post too.

The biggest thing i am dying for in Franchise mode is a much more in-depth stat tracker. My idea for this is to put this online (not the game....just the stat tracking). I have used avidmanager.com for NCAA football and it is awesome, but it sucks to spend like an hour inputting in all the stats after each game. I will expand this thought to adding non-in-game controls (player management) to internet also.

So my idea is to have an MY EA SPORTS page. I login and i can click which ever games i have logged into (Madden 09, NCAA 10, NHL 10, Tiger Woods 09, etc.) This case i will use NCAA 10. So you click NCAA 10. (***I only use NCAA because i have already suggested this and it would only need to be tweaked for Madden) The following is regards to avidmanager.com. I just would like for all the information to be automaticly sync'd once you save your franchise....it saves to internet....and you save on internet....when you next load up....it updates.

All of these below would be widgets (I really don’t know exactly what a widget is other that a type of window inside a window). But allow all of these things to have a wrench or a quick edit button that if clicked would automatically take you to where you can edit this information (if applicable). Also have titles of all of these widgets be links to the stated pages/reports. They could also be minimized if not wanted. Add at the top a kind of trail to make it easier to go back (ex. Purdue Dynasty -> 2020 Season -> Week 12 -> Iowa Hawkeyes W (24-10))

Dynasty Page
* Seasons: last 5 seasons showing results, etc. of the dynasty linked to their season page (This would look similar to your Season Overview Page) Name would take you to view ALL Seasons...or make the name a drop down window
* Career Top Performers: Top Performers for Passing, Rushing, Receiving, and Defensive for that dynasty Name would take you to view the Dynasty Top Performers Report
* Win/Loss: Shows the Overall Records for Conference, Top 25, # of Different (out of 120) that you have beaten Name take you to Win/Loss Report
* NCAA Record: Shows the NCAA Records Achieved Name take you to NCAA Records Report

I know this is a huge read, but i would like to know if i am alone with this thought. I think if EA utilized the internet to then sync with the game they could expand tremendously with easier updates. Have a roster builder (like they have a teambuilder), and let us view our franchise away from our console...online!!!! If there is enough interest, i could break it down for Madden. [Reply]

Draft:
Teams should be aggressive for players they really want or need on their teams and that is moving up the draft, and teams that don't feel as if they need a pick in the first ala Patriots should try to trade down to grab more picks.

This would work wonders with teams that picked higher and are aggressive trying to get back into the first round to grab a player they want maybe a G, CB LB, etc. I've seen it happen in Madden 10 but it's seems as if it's a rare sight to see.

There should be a Tweener logo, sign on DE that have the very good speed and agility rating for their size. and can actually be good in coverage I guess the Speed rating and agility rating would determine his coverage skills. With this the A.I would actually have a 3-4 team pick the DE ro rush the QB. and 4-3 teams would pick them to play the normal DE position.

Hide potential until we fully scout players for the six weeks make it that we have to actually work to see if that player has potential not just there staring at us. EVEN better would be if they hid it until the draft day that is when we would see then potential for the the players and it would force us to make trades to get the player we wanted, and would make it that we don't only scout good players during the year but maybe draft a bust without knowing it.

Right now scouting tells you how good a player is, It's better when it says higher than 80 lower then 70 it makes it harder for us and we will not know if that player is really good until after the draft

OFF SEASON
:

Right now I am able to make a head coach my OC and I'm speaking about very good head coaches. as of right now I can offer a coach more money and it will say X team as countered with xxx amount for 2 years it even says this when you offer more money and the same amount of years, dont want it to be easy to hire a coach but something is wrong or have the game say that coach isn't interested in the job..

Players should progress monthly ever 4 games small progress in areas for their position example WR would be route running, awr, catching.

Speed, Strength, should increase a point every 2 to 3 years for players with high potential but hit a wall because of how high or low their potential is, and also depending on the training staff you hired.

I wish they would explain to me what it means when your players a rated a 79 in team management but an 82 on the depth chart???? to this day I'm confused about this,

Can we be able to trade draft picks before we start our franchise have draft picks up there when we go to Team Management so we are able to edit next years draft on our own. I have more but Ill write it when I wake up super tired right now [Reply]

you should be able to setup your preseason players playing time so first qb 1 series then second qb 2 quarter and so on for entire team . i feel like i have to win preseason games and not really evaluate my new players i picked up , plus some of my starters are still playing well into the fourth quarter.

For the love of the long ball, please can we sub our special teams too. i get pissed everytime i see my starting safety or linebacker on the kickoff team [Reply]

Player abilities and making players unique

1. Play knowledge and learning
2. Player personalities
3. More ratings in the mental areas (read blitz for qbs, oline, rbs, read coverage ratings, zone and man, for qbs and wrs, route accuracy ratings for recievers, etc)
4. Player tendencies and aggressiveness ratings
5. Coach tendencies going more in depth than they do now at least to the level of vip from 2k
6. Redo the injury rating system going more in depth for body parts and make a progressive type system like was tried and somewhat succeeded with HC09

Draft and scouting
1. More info about draft picks but less exact info. Go away from exact ratings and show a strengths weaknesses thing like HC09 along with maybe a handful of numbers but without potential or player comparisons or anything that tells you how good players will be
2. Something mentioned during the extra point show, previews of top prospects, mock drafts, etc. but LEAVE STEALS AND BUSTS OUT OF THIS DISCUSSION. Steals are steals because they are unseen and busts are busts because they are thought to be good so they should be talked about accordingly going into the draft.
3. Allow us to trade for future picks and allow us to have more than 10 picks. If you are worried about an easily abused system then go to something like HCs system.
4. Give us a combine, senior bowl, pro days, and individual workouts to scout players.

Other Stuff
1. Contract Negotiation. Make it more of a back and forth type negotiation. Not like 09 where you just go in and it tells you what they want and you sign them but also not like 10 where you just try to guess what they want. It needs to be a back and forth thing where you put your offer out there, they counter, you counter that, etc.
2. Rookie contracts, don't let players accept long term 7 year contracts without a bonus as it makes it to easy to sign steals to long term deals and even if they don't pan out then let cut them for free. Another great option here would be make players holdout of training camps and preseasons and become a distraction if they think they are underpaid.
3. Playbook creation. A full play creator would be nice but we all know they don't want to add one in for fear of cheese so at least allow us to build a playbook out of plays already in the game. Also, allow the size of this to be as big as we want only limited by the number of plays our players can learn. This would allow us to build our playbook around our team and develop it as the team changes
4. Training. Allow us to train our players in a way similar to 2ks but with the ability to train for long term increases. This can also include improving play knowledge, gaining and losing weight, and any other training. Also this training should be able to be conducted in training camp, rookie camp, OTAs, etc.

Some great ideas in this thread!!!

My idea has to do with players knowledge and learning. I think it would be cool if you drafted a rookie QB and you couldn't use all of your offensive play's until he learns the play book.

So say that if he plays the 1st game of his rookie year you will only have half of the play book available to use. And the % could increase by 5-10% with every game he plays (depending on how well he plays).

This could also be used with veteran QB's if the would implement better use of the Offensive Coordinators.

Example: Let's say your QB has had a OC that runs the West Coast style. Then the QB become a FA or gets traded (ie Favre with the Jets) and it takes his a few games before he learns all of the plays.

This feature should be an option for people to turn off if they don't want to use, of course. [Reply]
