I have found a few players with star dev. Seems its the same as last year.

Re: draft guide for madden 25?

I'd actually prefer if someone made a guide with the best way to scout players. I know that in the real world, NFL teams and GMs atleast know something about every player in every round. It may not be a lot but they know the basics. Would be great if it were possible to get that kinda info.

Anyone have a really good scouting strategy they'd be willing to share?

Work out your team needs and scout key attributes for the positions you need.

On the issue of using a draft guide in online is up to the commissioner to decided who is gaining an advantage on others and quite easy to find out. Anyone could sim a few seasons and find who is who. A draft guide is there for people who want to use it for various reasons. It does not turn people in to cheats they are already are if they plan to get an advantage online.

Likewise there is something fishy about a guy who is able to draft 10+ Quick/Fast/Star players in 2 years. Somehow he always knows when the trade up. He always knows when to take a guy 2-3 rounds before their slated to be selected. He's not using a draft guide he just "has a method" of keys that make it easier to find these players.

If you are in an offline league. Play as you want.
If you are in an Online League. No matter how you slice it you are cheating those other guys.

This is why I like the NCAA imported classes for online dynasties. Even though it randomizes the skill of players. If you didn't expect J. Clowney to import a certain way and he was just a random DE it wouldn't bother you. This way if someone hits on 10+ star players in 2 years you know they actually found them since it's random.

yup, a cheater is a cheater . basically those who want draft guides are not really into trying to scout and find good players , like in real life , they would rather be spoon feed the info , so they dont have to do any work at all. totally ruins online leagues drafts.offline fine do as u want , still cheap imo. anyone can build an allstar team with all the info they need to easily find the great players. which is why im with u on the imported classes, at least they will be random. looking very forward to using them this year! cheaters gonna cheat , real men gonna scout..... just the way it is

Nothing against y'all using it, but draft guides ruined my online CCM last year. Had a guy literally get 7th rounders in the first. Had almost every single superstar development player

Re: draft guide for madden 25?

i dont spend any scout pts until a week before draft and all i got is usually between 60000 or 65000

the most important area of draftee is dev rating and it costs 10000!!!

so I reveal 2-3 dev ratings of 1st round prospects then i dont have enough pts to do anything helpful for finding good players

i feel drafting is more on luck rather than skills or efforts

That is exactly the reason why I used draft guides before and I will use'em again. I only play offline, so I don't bother anyone, but then again, I never drafted only star players. On the contrary.

However, I don't see how you can actually develop a strategy anyway. You don't have any stats, records or any indicator who might be worth scouting. All you got is a class of several dozen players and half a dozen storylines which produce busts as well as stars.

Scouting AWR to find key players isn't really a strategy either. One could argue that this is also kind of cheating, since all you do is abusing the fact that AWR is the key skill at every position. With skills costing thousands of points to reveal, it is impossible to scout all the players that you want to scout and I am not talking about all the players. Even if you only want to draft O-line, you couldn't possibly scout most of the line men. The best you could do is scout till you see most of the letters, but even then a B most often turns out to be a 79 rather than a 85+ and that difference usually seperates a starter from a backup or even a player that gets cut eventually.

While I do like the idea behind the scouting, I hate the way they programmed it. Unless you use a guide, it is based on luck only.

Not sure how it works in "25".
I already tried this strategy and ended up with some 55 rated guys. I also ended up with some gems because of this though.
