When you play your game, you still have to call the plays and snap the ball on offence, but your players, including the quarterback will execute the play. Just snap the ball and don't touch anything. Also if you turn on gameflow, the cpu will pick the play they want you to call. All you have to do is hit x and x again to snap the ball. You still have to do the kicking though as far as I can tell.

Not the perfect solution but at least you do not have to influence the players performances.(other than k and p)

Coach mode is not CPU V CPU..and, in Coach Mode, the QB for the team controlled by the human player will not scramble.

So, this may have been answered but . . .

Is there any hope that cpu v cpu will be available on next gen? I'm not hopeful but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading it won't be allowed because it's the same XP progression system used in the PS3 version that EA claims is the reason they won't allow CPU vs CPU in offline CFM (Which still doesn't make a bit of sense to me because they assign XP just fine on games you sim or SuperSim). As my excitement for the next-gen consoles has been growing, I've been going back trying to find where I might have read that or find some sort of definitive answer and I can't find anything. I too would like to know for sure if anyone has an answer. For me at least, it's kind of the difference between the game being worth a purchase or not.

Re: CPU vs. CPU in offline franchise mode? (Madden NFL 25)

I am really disapppointed EA decided to leave this feature out another year. (I am busy with work, lack time to play games, and would love to have a little CPU vs. CPU action going in my franchise will I tend to tasks.) I am necro-ing to encourage folks who want to see this feature to cast a vote for it at http://www.easports.com/gamechangers/ideas.

Anyway, the game changers site is a bit of an echo chamber in that the game changers EA has enlisted pretty much represent a particular subset of Madden gamers and I doubt they invest much time in non-stick jockey playing styles (which I find gets boring in vs. CPU games after you acclimate to the new control scheme). So if we want to see the return of things like spectator and coach mode or even see "simple" fixes like really changing player positions, we need to bump up the traffic on those particular ideas that have been sitting on the idea list for a year.
