Is the speed on retail version exactly the same as the demo, or they tuned it down a bit ?

For those that like the threshold high why is it 100 or nothing for many of you guys? Something around 80-99 would work better than maxing it out at 100. In fact around 60 or 70 is probably the most realistic speed threshold setting.

I found "slow" on xbox to play like "very slow" on the PS3. I will be curious to hear feedback on the retail versions and how the speed compared to the demo.

I've stated that mine is at 75. I played M12 at 65 for most of the year, but 75 is more my speed.

I thought the same thing, but i think it's just the Ps3 controller which has a little more loose feeling in it IMO. I felt the 360 had a really nice tight feel....almost a false sense of weight added to the player movement this year.

I am going with very slow. Right now I am going with 0 threshold (demo) but that may change if runners like C.Johnson, Peterson, etc are too fast and break to many big runs.

Very slow just feels more real to me. it also looks much better and you can feel the new rtp much better. When i finally get the retail version, I will mess with stamina and see what effects it has to offer.

Very Slow with Speed threshold at 10

The players move more naturally on Very Slow. I can also handle Slow, but I feel there is less skating, etc. this way. Much easier to read coverages and to get realistic reactions out of players as well.

If you want the players to feel like they have weight, slow the game down.

Speed threshold at 10 really showcases the guys that truly have breakaway speed. I've had TE's get run down by faster DBs and kick returns go to the house because Ginn was THAT much master than everyone and he literally run sideways "around" everyone.

Why are guys bumping UP the speed threshold? I feel like the players don't have enough disparity in their speed the way it is... isn't that taking away from ratings and turning everyone into cookie-cutter guys in regard to speed?

Because I am in the middle of a 49ers @ Eagles Play Now game. The score is 20-17 Eagles and we are about to start the 4th quarter. Vick and McCoy and Jackson's speeds really matter, but so does Willis, Davis and Gore [who I actually lowered to 90 from 92 in my own roster.]

I am playing 15min quarters and there are a number of plays that I know would have been broken off for crazy scores if it were not for the speed threshold... but instead were nice looking gains.

Maybe 75 is more accurate or something, but I am really enjoying 100 and there is a real challenge [I am losing after all] but it doesn't feel fake... well any more fake than Madden's game play can be.

The Eagles have 6 penalties for 69 yards and the 49ers have 2 for 25 yards [roughing and holding] This is epic, as I was losing 20-3 at the half and struck twice with big plays to frank gore. One was a run, the other a HB angle pass from Single Back for 15 yards. [Falcon Angle I think was the name] to bring the game within a FG. I was NEVER getting games like this before.

I see...I guess if I was playing 15 minute quarters i would have to make sure there are the least amount of big plays as possible too. Even then i still dont see how I could get realistic stats.
