I've really enjoyed the game on Slow with speed thresh at 5. Looks and feels great.

You must be talking about when playing on normal. It not that drastic when playing on slow or very slow and I set my threshold around 5.

I've always used this analogy. In the NFL the difference in speed is a small gap from slowest to fastest when compared to college where the gap is considerably larger but even that is small compared to the gap among high school players. That said, at 100 you get NFL level seperation, at 50 you get college level seperation, and at 0 you get high school level seperation. This seperation is why you see alot more big plays in high school and college than you do in the NFL.
I like this analogy. And it makes sense. I mean, olinemen in the NFL are considered slow, but even they are pretty damn fast. I just want those guys with world class speed to feel fast while not making the game arcade like.

I will definitely try this out. Thank you.

If the guys you feel should be fast are feeling too slow then I would recommend bumping the speed up to slow (instead of very slow) first and try slow with the 100 threshold.

I get the best experience on Very Slow with speed threshold at 15.

Re: Game meant to be played on very slow

That point about separation is true, but I still don't think Madden is more realistic at 100 because the game doesn't account for momentum and agility. Sure a DT might not be any slower than your average QB, but if you watch a game most QBs can easily out maneuver and "out run" them in the pocket because DTs and DEs can't change direction that fast. Same is true with WRs getting separation on LBs. Maybe some MLB isn't much slower than a 4.5 reciever, but he'll still get toasted on certain routes because he can't keep up with the cuts and how fluid a WR can move. I just think you need to lower threshold in order to compensate and create separation between 'fast' and 'slower' players.

Playing the Demo, I've been having the most fun on Slow speed with the threshold around 10. I haven't tried Very Slow yet but I'm going to have to give it a try as well as bumping the threshold up to the 20's and 30's just to see the results I get.

I play on slow, very slow is too slow for me, feels like players are running in slow motion.

Slow is my favorite. The game plays real smooth.

Just a hunch, we'll have to see what the difference between an online and offline game is like.

That's a good point.
