I thought there was a ban on posting reviews till the day of release or near that time.

Also, it says this review is from The Official Xbox magazine with the review slated for October 1st?

Something tells me that, that "Review" score is going to disappear pretty quickly.

This has a possibility to be true, however I doubt it.

Things like advertisements have to be put in the magazine months in advance. Not sure how reviews work.

The date is probably wonky because the review might be in the October issue of the magazine. The issue in September would be called the October issue. So whichever one is out in August would be the September issue and likely out too early for a Madden 13 review.

Maybe the score leaked or something. Either way, I am good with a 7.5 score. I mean, it's Madden football. I don't expect high 9's or something (for this or any sports game that has been around forever and has yearly releases).

They gave M12 an 8.5 rating. No way this is true.

EDIT : Well apparently it is. Weird review honestly (nothing about lack of customization, player movements,OL/DL ...) but i'm glad they don't overrate Madden anymore. I still hope Madden 13 will get good reviews. They finally start appealing the sim crowd ... don't want them to pull back. The demo can't come fast enough.

Even if that were the score, I don't know what would be so disappointing about it. That would proably be a most reasonable score. It's a good game and enjoyable, but it has to continue improving & getting better. 7.5-8 fits the bill IMO...
