Things that don't matter in Madden.

Not sure if they will get mad at this or shut it down, but I think it needs to be brought up. The things that dont matter in Madden.
There is alot to list, so lets see what you think.

For instance- Coaching,Scouts they all do the same thing, the FS when simming makes very few tackles in a season. Things like that.

I want to say fullbacks, but they do occasionally find someone to block and then actually block them, so I'm not sure if that counts.

good pass blocking guards don't matter as they can be beaten by average DTs.

It doesn't matter who fumbles or how/when, anyone on the team can advance a fumble.

Size. There no advantage to building a big, bruising team in Madden. There's no advantage to getting a punch of big power pigs on the offensive line to lean on a team. There's no differentiation between a 340 lb. nose tackle and a 290 lb. 3-tech. They can both play in the same spots.

There's no advantage to having a 260 lb. SAM backer. I can put a 230 lb. LB over the TE and get the same production.

Oline player ratings when simming games in franchise mode. Doesn't matter if you the highest rated players at every position or a bunch of kickers, the sim engine could care less. The sim engine in general is broken. Ive pretty much gotten over it and accepted it, but it is annoying for a longtime stat freak.

Try playing the Raiders, once with some average backup FB and once with Marcel Reece as a lead blocker for McFadden... having a full back that can keep in front of your RB into the second level and then actually pick up a block is the difference between getting a nice 8-12 yard gain and a 50 yard homerun TD.

Fullbacks don't really matter in the NFL either, it's a dying position.

My FB just got injured and my HB did NOTHING after he went down.

I had to use a TE to do it and it was just bad.

Needless to say, I put him on IR and signed the best RBK, IBL, RBS guy I could find off the street.

Speaking of linebackers - they are all basically the same in Madden. Only thing that changes is the useless OVR and where they happen to stand on the field. They don't have different mindsets, overall assignments/gaps to watch over, when these guys come out, their skill sets are all basically the same (a good LB is just a good LB, there's no good OLB but bad MLB and vice versa).

Same with LB vs DE. A good LB can be DE just as easily, never mind that those are two distinctly different positions with different technique, field vision, and overall assignments.
