This right here speaks to point I was making earlier, Madden and NCAA now share fundamental football game play. RTP is fundamental, imo, so it would be in both games, imo. However, DPP was unique to Madden because it's representing real world players, unlike NCAA.

It just seems clear to me that June 4th is an AI advancement to increase the realism of player behavior in Madden 13 but of course I could be wrong.

If I am right though, I want a backstage pass to the nest CE for M14, so I can sell that ish to Jpdavis for a King's Ransom. lol

Remember we haven't seen any footage of what will be released June 4th but the people who did are hyping it up. Why should some people bring their expectations down when the Atom bomb is going to drop in a couple of weeks? lol.

It's all in fun guys.

Re: Real Time Physics accidently revealed in presentation webcast?

People just need to calm down and stop reading too much into what people tweet. I mean it has gotten so out of hand now that a few Game Changers are very careful what they tweet now and some severely cut back on how much they tweet, because they know people are stalking their twitter feed and instantly post what they said on OS and run with it, along with adding their own interpretation of what the tweet said.

When in reality.....it wasn't what they meant at all.

So yeah it is fine to read tweets, but don't stalk them and start quoting people after every little tweet they do.

It isn't fair to them.......considering by the time they fly back home and make it home. that build could have changed twice already. So what they tweeted about on Friday, come Saturday might not even be in the game anymore at all, or completely watered down.

I'm with you on the interpretation of the impressions, but Twitter is social media. Those guys obviously have followers. If they say something like '13 will make '12 look like, IDK, whatever, it's going to affect people's pre-release impression of the game.

Not that they're marketing the game, but that's how marketing works. You get a trusted or popular person, have them say positive things about your product, and people buy it. Their impressions have the same effect.

Honestly, just taking a step back from all the media and information released would probably be good for a lot of people, not just what comes from Twitter. I mean, one of the hot topics on this board today is about how someone's figured out Madden's June 4th reveal from an NHL press release that doesn't even mention Madden once.

What?

Don't let a few people stand in the way of the majority who want to hear your thoughts.

Thanks.

Maybe you can give me an example of an AI upgrade that can stand without locomotion & engagement upgrades.
It's hard to sparse words because we agree on this far more than we disagree. I just think some things are being overlooked when using the term "player movement". There is so much that goes into that, for example, "super LBs" is affiliated with player movement but that has been addressed through pass trajectories and read and react. Also zig-zag running is player movement based but some are saying that has been addressed by tuning the in-game locomotion system to more like M10/NCAA 11 levels. There have also been some impressions of players seeming to have more weight and momentum representation as well. All these things seemed to be achieved without a complete and total overhaul of fundamental player movement.

So I am thinking that advancing the AI for on field players has the potential to do the same. Not directly negating the need for other fundamental overhauls but achieving a more realistic process, not just result, in the meantime.

Gotmadskillzson started that thread about a VIP system in Madden and I picture this advanced AI being along that line but potentially so much better. I keep imagining that video he has of the User controlled DE spinning to knock the T off balance, then attacking the inside shoulder to get the QB, being utilized by the AI. If an advanced AI system can achieve things like that, at various positions, I really feel that is "monumental", even without something like a complete OL/DL overhaul done first.

I may be there with you, we'll see.
