New Rosters With Free Agent Additions

Hey I started updating my current roster, by adding Vincent Jackson to Tampa Bay, Garcon to the Skins, Cortland Finnegan to the Rams..I cant adjust there new salary/years sign and contract overall. Does anyone know how to adjust those salaries it wont let me update them, i can sign them to a team but thats it... thanks.

For players like Calvin Johnson (Who just got a contract that blows my mind) you could release them then re-sign them to the same team. For franchise tag players, there is nothing you can do
