This is one of the few posts in this entire thread I think gets at the right idea.

I think it's a legal issue, a bug issue, or what they want to fix cannot be adjusted via tuners.

In short, I think they probably want to use tuners. But they cant.

Well if their game is that messed up to the point they can't fix it via tuner or patch, then they should just come out and SAY SO. I rather people be honest and upfront about things, instead of not saying anything.

Take the MLB The Show community manager for example. When somebody asked about the position of the player shades on players faces, he was honest and up front about it and said WHY they couldn't fix it.

But with the Madden team and NCAA team you don't get that. What you get instead is denial that anything is even wrong with their games. It isn't until they dozens of videos and pictures of you specifically highlighting and pointing out the problem do they even pay attention and acknowledge what you are talking about.

Then they say they are working on it and immediately go quiet for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Pop up online and say it was submitted, give a vague description of what was fixed, then go quiet again.

Patch comes out, patch causes other issues, you tell them, they have vacated and you get the auto reply answer of well I will pass it along to the team for the rest of the year.

EA's SILENCE is the most irritating and annoying thing ever when it comes to problems with their games. They don't want to talk about them.

However they always want to talk about MUT packs, who should get a ratings boost, ratings decrease, who you think will win in the upcoming Saturday college football games, who you got on Sundays football games.

But fixing problems and issues with the game ? What ? What you say ? I can't hear you, you breaking up, got to go bye. No hablo ingles.

We don't normally do online franchise roster updates during the season. There's one to start the season and one at the end.

Normally? There were at least 2 updates in season for Madden 10. I don't remember seeing any for Madden 11. So I guess after one year, that's the norm now.

The whole reason they went server based (at least their explanation for it) was so they could update it between Maddens. So far, 2.5 years later, zero updates and now a max of two roster updates per year. I literally had to shake my head after typing that.

Oh, so your favorite player is Carson Palmer? Well you can play as the Raiders and... oh wait, sorry they didn't update the rosters yet. Well you can still play as the Bengals... nope that won't work either, they cut him from the online rosters to make room for the up and comer, Hope Bromley.

You want to play as your favorite team with accurate rosters, just wait until the season is over... you know, when fans' interest usually dies until the draft in April. That's a great way to run an online franchise.

They keep saying that they don't update the mode because of the few number of people who play it. Well I wonder why that is...

Not to mention problems with the salary cap (lack of), free agency (lack of), stat glitches, repeated schedules, disconnects, sliders (lack of), common key stats (lack of), roster sizes, and more I'm currently forgetting.

[edit]
I'm not even discussing any flaws from the game or things that need time to develop/fix. I'm talking about what should be simple updates. Tuners, by how they were explained, SHOULD be an easy update. Roster updates that are already complete SHOULD be easily and automatically included into online franchise.

On the smaller scale, even things like their "on demand" tab which is suppose to be updated with weekly NFL.com video content still has only 2 videos from before the season. Hell, I think the videos are from before the lockout ended. I don't need to see a video of how the Browns can turn things around for 2011 when I know they are 4-8 13 weeks into the season.

Again these are simple things that should be updated on a weekly basis with minimum work hours needed to complete
. Instead they are an empty shell of what they call a "feature".

I think people need to realize Madden and NCAA is dead in the water with the current engines. The game needs to be re-created completely. New engines need to be written and designed with one goal in mind. Creating a replicate of NFL Sunday.

Until that happens everything else is a patch job on a series of engines with more issues than they will ever be able to repair to the point we want them to be at.

It sucks for all of us but that is just the hard truth in black and white.

This is a video I did months back. It is one single issue but the problem with this is there are dozens and dozens of issues such as these that are not small issues. But large gameplay issues.

Sad really considering there are dozens of videos like this that has been made over the past 3 or 4 years now. But yet these same problems are still in the game.

To me route mirroring seems much worse in Madden 12 then it was in the past. Maybe that was their way of fixing zone coverage and man coverage, they just increase route mirroring by a factor of 10.

I am not one who likes to "over analyze" and break things down in videos. This was one of those select cases for me. Reason being is I could not figure out how defenders were reacting to the pass game so fast. So I started replaying pass play after pass play. That is when I discovered the above issue.

Now normally I would not waste my time recording the issue and showing it. Because honestly I do feel like it is a waste of time. Like you said there are dozens of these kind of videos and EA just basically shuns these videos. They don't take any ownership about the issues with their game. You hear only excuses why things can't be fixed. Then the next year of marketing you hear this

"We know of the short comings last year and have worked tirelessly to fix those issues and bring you the most authentic football game on the market"

Now this is where the marketing train begins. Why not own these issues during the year??? Because it might hurt sales?? Well I think many people are getting tired of the run around with Tiburon.

Fans are tired of being sold a product with dozens of issues & broken features, tired of marketing HYPE, tired of the run around and false promises, and lastly tired of the longest running sports genre' lagging so far behind multiple other sports games.

I hope year in and year out that they open their eyes and get it together. It just does not seem like they understand yet, it is going to take a NBA Live moment for them to wake up and fix their game.

This is an outstanding video Phobia, and it goes back to the fundamental issue with Madden which they refuse to accept or acknowledge. Player movement and interaction is atrocious. It's not bad, it's atrocious. All sports games are predicated on the ability of the players to move and act realistically. We've seen this done in older gen maddens and other football games. So we know it can be done. In our online league, guys are throwing 30+ interceptions a season because of this nonsense. You can't throw timing routes due to the warping. A guy looks open, then you throw it and the game does it's dice roll so therefore it makes the defender warp into position and make the pick. It's horrendous.
