Video looked pretty good. Like rgiles said, it actually looks smooth. I'm liking the animations from this new collision system.

And as per usual, everyone is overreacting about essentially a Madden highlight film.

I wish movement wasn't so scripted. Not a hit at Madden because it is the same in most games with athletes involved, but every step Hillis ran, his legs extended to the same spot in front, bent at the knee at the same point during the end of his stride, his arms go to the same spot every time he pumps them while running, it's all just so symmetrical that it appears fake. I know they hook players up to nodes to get the movements down, so why not have them vary the length of strides and such so that there's a bit of realism to a player moving.

This year depends on the ball carrier strides.

Calvin Johnson will have longer strides, and their are normal and short strides. I'm assuming Hillis falls under the last 2.

Nice video.. It was definitely on Rookie or Pro just to show Hillis in Beast mode. I really hope nobody over reacts to that. haha!

All I have to say is WOW. Not because Hillis was in beast mode, but because this video looked amazing. Everything looked so smooth. Animations played out nice, and it just looked natural. The new collision system looks fantastic. I did't see any warping or sliding. Everything just looks right.

funny how an article talking about "unprecedented realism" uses a video of a guy breaking every single tackle without falling once...

I think he means that every step will be exactly the same as the last. Whenever you run in real life, your legs will not always raise 5.2 inches off the ground. One stride may equal 5.1, the other 5.99, another at 4.87, and another at 6.01. In Madden every step is the 5.1 and nothing else. Same with the hands, hips, etc.

Looking too deeply into it.

The article has nothing to do with the video and vice-versa.

Do you really think its gonna be that way in the game? They did this to show of Hillis. Why would they have him getting lit up when they are promoting him.

If the cover guy was Vick he would be throwing TD and scrambling like crazy.
