well it depends on what the main focus is on.
It was defense and big hits- Ray Lewis
It was new QB style- Donovan McNabb
It was about having fun- Brett Favre
It was about fighting for every yard- Larry Fitzgerald and Polamalu
This year I think it will be about the run game, so I'd expect AP.

lol @ about having fun. Farve was on the cover because he was supposed to retire and he was never on the cover and he was dominant throughout his long career
