IAN COME BACK

I already miss ian. he and the team did a great job after only a year. madden 2010 is amazing. now there is alot of stuff that needs to be done but i feel os has not shown enough appreciation for what Ian Cummings has done. He actually went to the forums and listened to what we had to say and adjusted the game to that.

Now ever since the game came out people have been crying and doing this and this to Ian.
Guys he and the team have fixed alot and you need to be more appreciative to the team. Ian Cummings said he was done with os and that sucks. We need him back if this game is going to keep getting better.

Re: IAN COME BACK

all the problems shouldn't have to be fixed.

I do enjoy this game, but it definitely could of been more refined from the get go.

I must have missed this, when/where did he say he was done with OS?

Re: IAN COME BACK

Is madden 21 an improvement over the pasp next gen versions? Sure. But to suggest that we need to be more appreciative of Ian is insane. The guy gets paychecks from ea - that is appreciation. In reality, Ian surfing forums is his job as a smart dev and salesman. Find out what will move more product and promise to deliver. The problem is that the game fell short in several areas and now that he is being called out - he is MIA. HE should be more appreciative as we provided ideas, pointed out things to be fixed, bought into all of his hype and bought his game after reading about the flaws.

Agreed, I really think Ian delivered on a lot of what he said he was going to do. Unfortunately the game grew stale after a week for me, and besides the slow down in speed and pro-tak (which worked less often than it was supposed to), it was the same old Madden. The presentation which was talked about a lot pre release, had a few new wrinkles here and there, but all in all it was nothing more than a few cut scenes which became entirely predictable after a few games.

Re: IAN COME BACK

Yea it's good they are acknowledging how bad the game was out the box. Should I be appreciative of that? Hell no. That's their job to make the best game possible. I mean of course every game will have problems but so many of these problems have been happening every year on next gen. And the problems are important aspects of gameplay. I can live with a few uniform messes here and there but even that should never happen because that is the easiest part to get right. But the problems with the next gen Maddens are BIG game killers. You almost have to write a full page of house rules to even play.

All they do every year is hype up these bells and whistles like cutscenes and hand towels and stuff like that. WHO CARES!! Fix the most important part, the gameplay.

I really think this year was a tipping point for a lot. I know it's said every year and people still buy it but from people on here, I think they hype around next year's will not be as big. I don't trust these guys anymore. Next season, the gameplay will still be screwed up but who cares because now we will get customized shoes and it will show players arguing on the sideline like real life. Yay.

Re: IAN COME BACK

I guarantee Ian is well compensated for his time, and work, especially since EA is a super huge corporation in the video game industry. Bottom line is the game is still no where, what it should be. So if he has thin skin, and cant take the criticism, along with the positive, then thats his problem. You dont pay a guy to do build you a home, and when it comes out half assed, you tell him, well at least you got some of it right. You expect the best job possible. The same goes for any other sedrvice or product you spend money on.
