Exporting franchise online issue

Last year I could export my active franchise team and load it against my friend online to compare who had the better team. This year you can only use created teams, even though there is still an option for exporting your franchise team.

Is this a glitch in the programming? If not why was it taken out? I loved and used that all the time, I don't see why it could have been removed.

I beg that if it can be addressed in a patch then please do so. Obviously this isn't a game killer but it is a massive buzzkill.
