Quitters online? Why?

Alright...I have only played 5 online games.

Game 1 - Straight out got outplayed. Cool.
Game 2 - Was winning 14-0 in first quarter guy quits (I ended up not wanting to play the CPU so I exited)
Game 3 - Guy beat me. But the azz went for it on 4th and whatever everytime and made it.

0-2 at this point

Game 4 - yeah I am finally winning. Guy quits into the 2nd quarter But i was up by only a TD, but he had just lost the ball because he went for it on 4th and 7....so he quit. YAWN...I Choose not to play the CPU

My last game...

I am the Falcons I can't run or pass. he is passing to the Flats and on a TE Streak (He basically used 3 different plays) he would get to the goal and throw a Pick. Score was 0-0 in the final 2 minutes...

He gets the ball and makes a nice run to the outside (Sweep with McFadden) and got all the way my 20 and I hit him and he fumbled...MY BALL) I drive the length of the field and Kick a FG with no-time remaining. But the guy quits right before the final buzzer? WHY?

At least I got the win and he got the loss...

But I don't get it.

They also need to do something about people going for it on 4th down...Need to make it HARDER to pick up a 4th and 7, 4th and 15, 4th and 5...Their needs to be more pressure or something....

I feel your pain. I don't understand it either. The kids today are mostly spoiled. They are a by product of the steroid era and the slow demise of ESPN. Offline Franchise or Unranked Games are where the fun is. Unless you have friends that play legit. If you have a PS3 send me an invite.

If you're on ps3, friend request me. I never quit unless we somehow lose connection and I play realistically. I use the Vikings.

Give it up, online sports is garbage. There's no competition involved with online sports. You think someone is #1 because they're good? There are so many flaws with online sports that give the smart player the edge in winning. You don't have to be a smart football player, just smart on how to use and cheat the system. Plus, there's too much lag for sports online. We used to run tournaments at a friends house. That's more fun then playing online with little Billy who cheats and DC's when he's down.

Yeah, this is why I don't like to play online and why people who always say that "MADDEN 2010 SUCKS BECAUSE ONLINE IS ONLY 5 MINUTES AND THERE'S THAT STUPID POINTLESS ACCELERATED CLOCK!" Annoy me because I know that those are the same people that will quit if you take a 14-0 lead.

Why does it always have to come down
To you leaving
Before I'll say 'I love you'
Why do I always use the words
That cut the deepest
When I know how much it hurts you
Oh baby why, do I do that to you

Re: Quitters online? Why?

play people with low DNF ! Very easy! Set the play now settings to it.

I admit it gets frustrating to play the CPU but deal with it. Today I was up 14-0 at halftime. The guy attempts and onside kick to start the 2nd half. I recover it and he immediately quits. Part of me hoped he recovered the onside kick so he would keep playing. I just had a feeling he would quit if he didn't get it.

My record is 45-13 online with a 0% DNF. I don't run the same 3 plays on offense. I don't run any wild cat. If you want to play me send me a friend request. WrightNReyes is my PSN

Question:

If someone quits on you and you decide not to play the computer, do you get a DNF?

i don't think so but i'm not 100% sure. i think if you choose quit and count game you get partial stats but no win. if you choose don't count game it doesn't count at all.

i always choose continue vs cpu because it's a free win vs the CPU on all-pro.

Re: Quitters online? Why?

I think it stems from people wanting to win all the time. That's why there are people that exploit Madden, that exploit Halo, that exploit COD... there are exploits in every game, and they're taken advantage of by people.

It takes discipline (or lack of knowledge of exploits) to not exploit a game. It definitely takes discipline to play a game the way it was meant to be played. At least, that's my view point.
