Any Coach Mode players out there?

Being that I loved NFL Head Coach 09 and still played it up until about a week or two before M10 release, coach mode seems to be the closest thing to it IMO. Honestly I would do CPU/CPU games but there are no injuries unfortunately, and with coach mode there are.

I have to give credit where credit is due and "Claystone" in the sliders section of the forums has great CPU/CPU sliders for folks that are interested. For those that are interested in doing coach mode games/seasons, I have found that what Ian said to be completely true.

If you set Player difficulty to All-Pro, and then reset CPU sliders to default (putting them all to "50"), it gives the most realism to each player's ratings in the game. The only time I touch the controller is to call plays, hike the ball, and use the kickers. I let every other player do their own thing.

I've been getting very realistic stats and getting 120 plays combined for both teams per game.

Anyone else use coach mode?

Joe. This is my first Madden I have bought since they took it out. I'm in my 40's and button smashing just does not appeal to me. Once they get the TV cam in, I'm going to be a happy camper with this game.

For some reason, Coach did not grab me past one season. Still playing 2K5 some, but I was waiting for coach mode to get back into Madden. Wish they would have done it all they way and done the kicking as well, but I'll take what I got this year.

Well if you are a sim NFL guy like me then it really fits the bill with Madden 10, IMO. I would definately just do CPU/CPU and see how the players do, but the problem is that injuries don't happen in CPU/CPU games.

I'm addicted to numbers, and even in the real NFL I love the Skins, but I follow the players from every team more honestly.

Hopefully EA will patch this soon.

In the Game Options menu go down to where it says "Coach Mode - ON/OFF" and set it to on. What this does it makes it so your QB will auto pass based on his ratings. What I do is I don't touch the controller at all except to call plays, hike the ball and use the kickers. Everything else I leave alone and let the players do everything on their own.

I enjoy playing the games this way because it takes all the ratings into account. Awareness and Ball Carrier Vision are taken into account for RB's by doing this because you aren't controlling them.

Joe is correct.

All-Pro and setting set to default gives you the best and balanced gameplay for "Coaches Mode".

Joe, if you ever want to get an online coaches mode game on shoot me a pm. My system is 360.

This. Pretty much sums me up, too.
I wish it was an all-the-way true 'coach' mode. If it had been I would have been interested in an online dynasty. As it is, you can select 'coach mode' but still control the players.

BTW, am I the only coach moder player who has yet to see a single automatic instant replay or that Collinsworth back track feature? Not one in about twenty games so far.

I feel the same way, I am having a good time with this game.
I am playing with the cowboys at first after winning my first 3 preseason games I began to feel that I was in for a 16-0 season, but on the 4th preseason game I sat down my star players and the minnesota vikings cleaned my clock.
I was so excited because it let me know that if I suffered any injuries to my key people I could possibly end up missing the playoffs.
