Moving the "Strip Ball" Button to LB

I'm not sure why they did this. For some reason, I am having trouble getting used to pressing LB to strip the ball. Last year it was so easy because all you had to do is press A.

Now A is being unused. It's the most accessible button too lol. Also,, not too fond of LB being used to swat passes down also. That was A last year as well.

Well thanks for telling me LB was the strip button, I never knew.

I'm use to it being A as well.

my LB button is kinda glitchy too. Ive used my controller so much that LB doesnt always register. i completely would agree anyway, but now it REALLY sucks

I don't think there's way to change the controller layout too. It's so weird, leaving the A button completely unused.

I fully agree w/ the op and made a thread about it. swat and strip should be put back on A/X for ease of use. its so frustrating to strafe and have to tap the lb button while keeping my defensive player in place.

amen.

how could they leave the most convenient button unused.

I can't strafe and then go for a swat. it's contributing to slot WR's and crossing routes being so effective ... it's very hard to use your defender in the middle of the field partly because it's inconvenient to use L1 to swat the ball. bring it back to X on PS3 and A on xbox!

"A" is in use. In the manual it states it as "Defensive Assist" I'm not sure what it means.. but I'm thinking that when theres a gang tackle going on, you can press A when you're near them to interact.

Defense assist is used to keep your player in the best defensive postion determined by the AI. If you want to play as the corner back on the given play press and hold A and your player will play to be in the best possible defensive position.

Really? That's good to know! thanks, I was wondering what they meant by defensive assist. I completely forgot they added it this year to help with the non-madden geeks.

I figured since they now tallied up "assists" that this is what it meant.. whoops!
