Madden 2010 Created Teams

I do the same thing... I pick up players of free agency for the main positions. The free agents this year were pretty good to choose from... I grabbed Edgerrin James, Duece McAllister, Warrick Dunn, Marvin Harrison, Jesse Chatman, and traded for Michael Vick on offense... picked up Chris McAllister and Lawyer Malloy and traded for Ellis Hobbs (with Vick) on defense and picked up other no namers for defense. Also snagged Matt Stover as my kicker. Anyways... the create-a-stadium feature is awesome! I named my team the Las Vegas Demons. Used the primary and secondary "Demon" logos and used red, black, and white as my colors. I can add pictures if anyone is interested. I'm pretty happy with it... the stadium looks sick, and I like the uniforms. I loaded the team in Franchise mode and replaced the Houston Texans. Las Vegas Demons 2010 Super Bowl Champs! Ha

Do the announcers say the names of any created teams?

i do this too. there are a couple threads on here about my "sim" expansion team. best way is to cut all players while editing roster before you start your chise. Then fill that team with players you want and fill it full after that with the worst fa's so they'll be deleted from the game and clear up some room in fa pool. Then do fantasy draft for created team and draft only the players left that you want on the team your gonna replace. If you draft anyone else they will be in the game twice. You probably wanna write them down b4 draft cuz its alot easier to find them to draft and make sure you stick to drafting from team to be replaced.

i dont like the "cupcake" team cuz they all have fake names, all are rookies and most are a & b potential. yeah they arent that good but will be a decent team without you having to make any other moves, etc which is very unrealistic. I also dont wanna dump all those a and b rookies into FA pool. For dispersion draft (deciding who gets players from team that would be replaced) while editing rosters in the beginning put one player on each team by need in draft order from last year.

How do you delete the created players on a created team and replace them with roster players/free agents? I've been building/creating College Alumni teams (USC, Miami, Florida, etc.) and would love to do that for as many teams as possible. You wouldn't believe some of the teams you can come up with by doing this. Anyone else doing this? Just curious........

Wow! It is so nice to know that I'm not the only one who does this! I'm not attached to any one team, so I don't have any problem, tearing apart the existing NFL to make a new league. I have a fictional league I call the UCFL (U.S. Canada Football League). I left a few of the NFL teams in place, the rest of the league is comprised of my original creations. I also added all 8 teams from the CFL. I moved the Rams back to L.A. and play as them. I have a regular NFL franchise going, but I have a heck of a fun time playing in my "new" league! I only recently figured out the tip of releasing players into the FA pool before you make the league. I just released Steven Jackson and O.J. Atogwe so I could add them to my team in franchise mode. I may redo my league, adding all of the real players into the FA pool first.

Yes! Exactly! I also hate that they got rid of the four uniforms option for created teams and you only get to choose between home and road now.

Im also a huge fan of creating a cupcake team and making them into a powerhouse, but so far though my created team has been everything but a powerhouse. I created the Orlando Sharks and we went 0-16 or first season
Hopefully this year we will atleast win a game I have to say I havent quite figured out All Madden on offense yet.
