Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority

1. Cornerbacks running the routes before the wide receiver... it's ridiculous.

2. Commentator still says the wrong side has won the ball in "fight for the fumble".

3. CPU QB's not taking sacks.

4. Pass rush from teammates is non existent.

5. Bizarre Oline decisions:

a) Centre randomnly turns around after the snap and stares and the RB, letting the DT through.
b) Blockers on tosses don't lead.
c) many more....

6. Still experiencing "warping" on screen passes to HB's.

Can't think of anymore right now.

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority

  • Assisted tackles not counted in total tackles
  • Free roster spot when place a guy on IR
  • Tone down frequency of over the head catches
  • More simulated sacks for LBs (especially 3-4 OLBs)
  • More simulated TDs for Running Backs
  • CPU QBs need to take more sacks, especially when coming from their blindside
  • Heavily reduce excessive number of highly projected FBs when importing an NCAA draft class. I've had a FB ranked in the Top 5 on a couple of occasions
  • Fix scouted players' status during the draft. Sometimes it's correct and says they've been drafted, other times it still shows their round projection even though they've been drafted
  • During the Free Agency period in a multi-user franchise, stop asking me if I would like to sign a player that's accepted an offer for those teams that are set to be CPU controlled
  • CPU running out of bounds when they could easily run up field for extra yards
  • Better 2 minute drill AI from the CPU
  • Fix replay issues (ie. replays getting cut off, very minimal amount of auto-replays after a touchdown)
  • Very difficult to get pressure with user DEs, even when your DE is 20 points higher than the O-lineman he's up against
  • Very difficult to get pancakes with user O-lineman, even when O-lineman is 20 points higher than D-lineman he's up against
  • Lack of progression after changing a player's position

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority

"What's in patch 1" has been asked like 5 times in this thread and ignored by everyone. What gives? Someone say what's in it or someone say they haven't released it yet...

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority

-Salary Cap for online franchise

-Wounded duck frequency/location. Too many flutter in the air. It's awesome, but a bit unnaturally common.

- Pocket depth of drop by OT. There needs to be a deeper drop.

- Angle of pressure by 4-3 DE's and by 3-4 OLB's rushing the passer. The speed rush should be a deeper loop, not such an early engagement of the OT all the time.

- Remove the kicking meter. Let us time the kick through repetition and learn through feedback from text.

- Faster regression of high impact skill positions, particularly RB in franchise mode. Old feature RB's really just don't happen much at all.

It's hard for me to find much to dislike at this point. I'm having a blast with this game!

I do know that the holding on field goals is addressed in Patch 1, so we can leave that one out. Here's what I'm looking for...

You list your biggest patchable issues. I will rank them based on frequency of mention, and how practical they are for patch, and forward the list to Ian once a definitive list is made. No promises that they'll all get fixed or that one thing will get in before another, but this will give them an idea what's most important to the community.

NOTE: List everything you want to see patched, even if it was already mentioned. Being high on a lot of lists will tell me that issue is important to the community.

So... complain away
Forgot my biggest one: Give us franchise junkies TOTAL control over our rosters. Let us delete and create players at will, let us edit ANYTHING and EVERYTHING regarding a player, contracts, injuries, suspensions, all ratings, etc. There is nothing worse than trying to get rid of someone who should be retired or suspended and the CPU signs them.

I'm obsessed with rosters and update them daily or with every major or minor move, no matter how obscure. I used to put out very popular rosters back in 04 and 05 and these things have been needed for years. Either you have the license or you don't. Let's put it to use.

1. No sideline catch animations.
2. Blocking AI still no good. Doesn't really seem any different than last year.
4. Side note to that....in order for the 3-4 to work, need the DT/NT eating up at least 2 blocks, currently no doubt teaming.
5. Scrambling with the right trigger: QB is much much too slow pulling it down, breaks the Wildcat.
6. Lack of passing out of the Wildcat (that's half the purpose).
7. Need a 'Pistol' or 'Rifle' playbook or at least additions to the current playbooks.
8. Non player animations (such as coaches during pre game presentations) are jerky and puppet-like.
9. WAAY too many wounded duck throws. It shouldn't happen every time the QB gets hit. He should be able to get it off just in time or tuck it and take the sack.
10. Every pass seems to be a 7 step drop which is about as unrealistic as you can get at one of the most important fundamental aspects.
11. Jamming a WR for 4 secs and essentially taking them totally out of the game isn't realistic either.

In-Game Recap Statistics are inaccurate..17-0 at end of 1st quarter was displayed as 23-0 within the game recap

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority

Rushing TDs in Franchise stats

Removing those with no stats from the stats list. For example if I look at stats for a QB in franchise for the season, it lists every player even though they havent thrown a ball? Get rid of that.

Play call screen, I manually went to hail mary, performed that, then for the next play call screen it took me right back to the main play call menu instead of the last place I was.

When viewing player stats after a game have it set to both teams on default.

Replays to start from the beginning.

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority

QB quick snap on every play. QBs should wait at the VERY LEAST three seconds to snap the ball (once under center) under normal circumstances-- on average around 5-7 seconds.

Just do the same thing you did last year.
