Why doesn't a 97 spd beat a 85 spd?

I went into practice mode and took Tom Brady throwing streaks to Randy Moss against the CB from Cardinals...opposite side of Cromarite-Rogers(sp??)

He has 85 speed and Moss has 97. Brady has high THP and Deep Accuracy. About every play the CB stayed right with Moss on the streak. I then went to settings to change slider of speed difference between fast and slow players.

When I lowered it all the way to 0 there was a slight diff. Set to 100 then the CB was beating Moss to the ball.

How on default should this 85 speed CB be able to keep up with Randy Moss of 97 speed?

So all you would need are fast players in this game & the defense would not have a chance? Just one more reason why most Madden gamers are Arcade cheese heads.

I'm glad Moss cannot burn the defense based on speed alone!

Based on the Madden ratings, Cromartie is one point slower speed, but four better on acceleration and five on agility.

Cromartie is a 87 rated all around BTW.

What is his ACC? that could be how, and isn't he a Returner.

ACC and fatigue are always two factors missing from these types of discussion.

No...not Cromartie, the CB on other side of ball. McFadden? IDK, don't remember, but he should not be able to keep up with him.

I'm not for arcade throw them up games, but if I have Randy one on one with no safety help then I should be able to just throw it out there and he will run under it...Miami game 2 years ago!
