I have one, and it's a touted thing.

QB Animations.

Joe Flacco and Big Ben looked PERFECT throwing the ball. Makes the replays look even better. [Reply]

I think everyone should take a look at Kitna's throwing animation in the create a player. He throws the ball then leans back and looks up scared like he is about to get sacked.:-) [Reply]

Just my opinion but this game doesn't deserve a thread like this yet... Right now it's getting stuff in that are just things that should be expected to be seen, and haven't gone overboard or in depth enough to even be compared to MLB The Show.

I think the OP got a little ahead of himself, IMO. [Reply]

No one is comparing it to The Show, and I even said that.

In my opinion..the poster I quoted should be a little more laid back and not so defensive about his gaming. There are additional things in Madden this year that weren't in last year, and many of them are added "little things".

If this thread shouldn't be here, it'll die a quick death. [Reply]

I agree, this is a good thread to have because it lets people know how much new animations and substance that was added to the game..

BUT...I would also like to see the opposite side of the coin in a thread for example.. "The little things that bother you" about this game.

because there are a TON of them.. If you want to be fair, create both threads. (and sticky it like this one)

This year, I feel things may be different.

The first little thing I will post:

Pittsburgh at Baltimore (me). 15 minute quarters, 25 second accelerated clock. 4:42 left in the fourth, game is tied 6-6. Pittsuburgh is driving. 3rd and 10 on my 44, I send a blitz. Limas Sweed runs by Foxworth (Sweed is on the outside because Ward is lined up in the slot, by design).

Sweed is in the back of the end zone with Reed closing. The ball comes down, Sweed catches it, puts one foot down and LOOKS to drag the other foot close to the line. In Madden 09, I would just see the result as "touchdown" or "4th and 10".

I got a cut scene of Reed and Sweed jawing at the ref on the back line of the end zone. I saw the ref start to put his arms to his chest. He signaled - no catch.

I literally jumped off of my couch. THAT is one of the major things, for me, Madden was missing. THAT is suspense.

That is my little thing.

PS: Madden 09, Ravens/Steelers is a 20-30 point per team game. This game, complete with 15 minute quarters - I lost, 9-6.

I understand your point, but by you don't understand what I mean by "Little Things".

Go to the MLB The Show forums and check out the Little Things thread. It's not a "little things that make the game great". It's a "little addition that would be overlooked" kind of thing that make the game better, even though they didn't have to be there. [Reply]

Do demo impressions count? because even though it probably happened to everyone that played the snow demo it still raised a big smile for me when I saw it...

3rd down, in the shotgun with Eli coming up to the half. Snap comes low, Eli leans down to grab it slowing him down dramatically, slot guy slips making his cut which completely throws me off the play, all I feel is rumbling on the control telling me danger is present (I'm in tunnel vision mode looking upfield desperate for somone else to throw to). Ware breezing off the edge, sack, ff, clean run in for 6 on the recovery.

Even though it happened against me, I just couldn't help but think 'nice'. The low snap, the slip, the weather effect in general were all nice touches that came together nicely. [Reply]

There are also some things that they had last year that they took out this year, which is idiotic. [Reply]
