I hear the term "cheez" alot on here, and this article deals with ways to make "cheez" non-existant in future Maddens.

I posted the idea about "protection spotlight" on here a couple weeks ago, and your guys positive reactions to that helped to inspire me for this article.

Excellent article! I agree with everything. Zone options for defense would be great, and one formation shift per play needs to be in the game (Mike Martz anyone?), but most of all, I like the idea to coach individual positions. Like in the 2 minute drill you might want your corners to funnel receivers to the inside (guard against out routes), or you might want your receivers and backs to fall down on the field if your trying to run out the clock, etc.

And most of all, the ability to coach your linebackers and defensive line to be aggressive or cautious.This would really allow players to run different SCHEMES instead of just "4-3." Different teams use the formations differently. Some teams play with aggressive linemen and linebackers who hit a gap immediately, some teams do a more read and react, some teams go for the aggressive linemen but a more cautious approach with linebackers (a lot of cover 2 teams), etc.

This needs to be in.
