If this thread belongs in the online threads I apologize....

I was wondering how many online franchises can you be in at one time? I know on NCAA last year you could only be in a certain number of dynasties,so I was wondering has anyone heard anything on this? [Reply]

Many as you want I am guessing. But why would want to be in more then one. One is full time job in itself along with playing offline franchise aswell. I am just going to be in one and also play my offline franchise mode aswell. Thats good enough for me. [Reply]

I would guess (and I never thought to ask this, I guess) that there wouldn't be a limit on number you can be in, but you can only host one. [Reply]

I believe it's 5 right now (Donny may jump in and correct me if I'm wrong) - we're trying to keep a few things like this somewhat limited to ensure a smooth launch. We also don't allow weeks to be simmed over and over again - you have to wait like 20 or 30 seconds or something. Things like that are minor hindrances to the user-experience but they take a boatload of stress off the servers...as you know EA has had a history of shaky launches with online products so this year we are really trying to take as many precautions as necessary that everything doesn't go up in flames when everyone logs on the first time.

If it ends up that a lot of people are telling us that they need to be in more Franchises (legitimately), we can definitely change that on the server. [Reply]

Ian is correct.

You can be in a max of 5 online franchises at one time.

You can be the commissioner of all 5 franchises (no limit on number of franchises you can commish).

You can leave a franchise at any point if you wanted to join another. [Reply]

I an when you say you dont allow weeks to be simmed over and over again.. do you mean the same week to just simming from week 1 to 5 at one time? [Reply]

Are you able to change the commish during the franchise? I'm setting up my own franchise and say I happen to be a horrible commish, can I switch the role to someone else in my league without starting over? [Reply]

I mean you can't just sit there and sim week 1, week 2, week 3, etc without a small delay in between each week's sim. Again if you imagine 100,000 people all spamming the server by simming multiple years at a time - everything could grind to a halt rather quickly. The small forced-delay helps alleviate that concern at first. [Reply]

there are many reasons to be in more than one PB. You may be in a sim style OF,and you may wanna be in a fantasy style one as well.I have many friends pulling me in different directions so I may be in at least 3 or 4...plus it will keep me away from the wine and cheese experience that is Ranked Games....lol [Reply]
