Should Madden have 360 Degree Motion in 2011?

FIfa is unveiling a *new *locomotion system this year. The left analog stick now has 360 degrees of motion. That means, you point it, and you're player will go there *based on ratings.

So I was thinking.

Should Madden keep the 8 Direction Digital control its had i next gen?

Or should they try to adopt the 360 degree analog control of FIFA 10?

360 degrees of motion will make runners less robot and stop them moving in zig zags and 45 degree angles?

Thoughts? Comments?

they should go 360. that will make the movement more realistic

Yeah they should definitely get this.

I honestly think Madden 11 will be an "animation overhaul" year.

That seems to be what most people (including me) want to be better.

Yeah once they switch to a full range of motion system then you will be able to control the speed of your players by how far you push your joystick to the perimeter of the controller. This will allow you to move at more than the 3 different speeds offered in the game currently.

I thought there were only 2 speeds, jog and sprint

Who would vote for 8 when you could have 360?

I agree, A new locomotion system once implemented will feel like ground breaking changes have been made to the game. I still have trouble figuring out how they felt that a new locomotion system was a low priority. Dont get me wrong I love everything they have done and they have made vast improvements(a lot I honestly dont care about as much as others but they are still great things to add because there are other people in the world that want them)

But to me proper locomotion is kinda as basic as 1+1=2. I kinda feel that some of the additions this year are kind of like doing quantum physics compared to proper locomotion lol(pro-tac)

Uh, I am running around with Marion Barber in practice mode right now and I can definitely move in more than eight directions. Ergo I conclude that Madden has 360 degree motion already...?

There are only two running speeds though, run and sprint; is that what you meant?
