Re: All Ratings Talk Here Per Millennium

I'm excited about the new ratings. Somehow they just feel right. Between them slowing the overall speed of the game down and also tweaking the elite players from the average joes I think there will be very subtle improvements to the game. No I'm not happy with all the individual ratings i.e. Brady missed the whole season but he's a 98? I'm a Eagles fan and my teams success playing madden has always depended on McNabb's arm now McNabb is a 91 overall but his accuracy is all over the place this year due to the amount of errant passes he threw last year. I'm not happy but if Madden captures the same kind of frustration I felt watching McNabb throw key passes in the dirt like last years superbowl then like it or not I as a die hard football and madden fan would have to admit that is a success. I saw another play where Maclin was matched up on a LB on a drag route and after he catches the ball you could see the difference in acceleration which created space and seperation between him and the LB. Previous versions of Madden that LB with 79 spd would have tackled my 96 spd receiver as soon as he caught the ball. These kind of subtle changes will actually allow us create actual matchup problems and adjust our defense accordingly to account for these kind of match up problems which is a realistic part of football. I am curious to see how the producers plan to level the playing field with players that may have 99 spd but ovr are like a 77. Hester dropping a ball here and there isn't going to solve it but if somehow your 90 awr cb with 80 spd can use his technique and skill to cover Hester anywhere other than a balls to the wall deep bomb then that is a success. Felix Jones/Chris Jones were virtually unstoppable last year on 09 but this isn't neccesarily true in real life they are fast but lack in other areas which I hope will be addressed this year. Lastly, please my motto on D is pressure bust pipes and none of the updates have addressed D-line interaction other than a brief mention on pro-tak but it doesn't really show or explain how we will be able to use swim chop or just hands in general while rushing the passer. Anyways that all here I'm just waiting and eager because EA has finally listened to their fans and are attempting to give us what we have been asking for for so long...holla

I liked Rodgers accuracy
OVR Accuracy - 84
Short - 86
Medium - 85
Deep - 83

Though if I had my way he'd have one of the best throw on run ratings in the game. He was really accurate on the run last year.

Other notes...

- Barnett has the highest pursuit rating with a 93
- Blackmon has the best spin move, 91.

- Clifton has the best pass block strength with a 91
- Colledge has the best run-block footwork with a 90
- TJ Lang has the best run block strength with an 88
- Quinn Johnson has the best impact block rating with an 86

Where are you getting these specific ratings? The ones on ESPN don't have things like catch in traffic nor stiff arm. Weird.

Separate note. Packers WR's after Driver and Jennings are incredibly underrated. James Jones and Jordy Nelson could start on 1/2 the teams in the NFL and they got shafted, 71 and 69 respectively. Bull. They should be mid-high 70s.

Also: Rookie ratings may be a bit down from last year, but not nearly enough if everyone else is down like 20 points. I'd say every rookie could use a 2-5 point drop.
