Re: All Ratings Talk Here Per Millennium

I almost peed myself when I read someone said Delhomme was as good as Brady...and I'm a Panthers fan. True, Delhomme out-QBed Brady in the Superbowl, and the only reason the Pats pulled it out was because of Kasay kicking off out of bounds (idiot..). But Delhomme is nowhere in that league...He should be rated at most 82 in the game...6 turnovers in one game? And we kept him in?! Wow, I'd have given Matt Moore or Josh McCown some playoff experience after the first few INTs...

But that's off topic...you could make an argument for ANY QB being a "system QB." Because they all play in systems...ones that don't fit the system aren't very good...look at Vince Young (backup), Mike Vick (okay, he was never good...system or not..)...people draft QBs based on their physical attributes, and then they don't fit the system and fail...

And Montana was a system QB...West Coast Offense...what did he do in Kansas City? Nada.

As for the 6 turnovers thing, didn't peyton throw like 5 picks in one game in 07? didn't romo do the same? Stuff like that happens, oh and both of them were left in the game.

His potential should be a 99. I don't think he is quite there yet but he is damn good. I think he should be around 95 currently for sure.

You're saying Delhomme is as good as Peyton Manning?

Delhomme has a penchant for coming through in big games...he's pretty clutch usually. But...he is not a top 10 QB...Brady is. Manning is. Delhomme is a quality starter, but he's not elite. As for Romo, I'm indifferent. I don't think he's a great QB either, and he and Delhomme are similar in a lot of ways...they both take chances they don't need to take. It comes back to bite them alot of the time...

You cannot have that high of a discrepancy between the speeds of Moreno and Westbrook. If anything I'd say Moreno is FASTER.
youre both crazy. have you ever seen westbrook play? if so, then you'd know that he's the quintessential big play back. he is always good for a big play, out runs whole defenses and is probably the most dangerous player in any backfield due to the fact that he can destroy you in 2 ways. westy is a big play waiting to happen and thats why his speed/rating is so high.

I didn't say he was as good as peyton. I was just mentioning that even great qbs have bad games and one bad game shouldn't severely drop a player's ratings. Peyton is still great even after that performance and tony and jake are still starter quality qbs even after bad performances.

Yes, he does make a lot of big plays but that does not always indicate long distance speed. The reason he is able to do that is because he hits his top speed and gets up to and then by the defense so fast, they then have to turn and chase and can't get to their top speed as fast and therefore don't catch him. With the adjusted speed differentials and hopefully ian and co working acceleration more into the picture this should be able to be properly shown without having to give people speed ratings beyond what they really are.
