Yes it does. Using the 10 ratings, I adjusted some players in 09. JaMarcus's balls on quick outs get there much faster than Garcia's (98 vs. 72 TP) as well as hitting WRs on cuts 20yds down the field. While I run a WCO and Garcia's 88 THA and 90 TAS are perfect, his weak arm is terrible (he dropped 15 points from last year, WTF?).

But how do players like Michael Huff drop 6 points in SPD from this time last year? Because Huff hasn't lived up to expectations @ S, did he all of a sudden lose his 4.36 40 speed in the (athletic) prime of his career? They dropped his AWR 5 points. Cool. He's dropping sure INTs, his CTCH drops 18. Cool. Play Recognition, -10. Cool. But SPD? I know I read that they're stretching out the ratings to separate the "elite" players, so does SPD make you elite?

But I'm not crying, until the Raiders win more than 5 games in a season, this is how EA will rate their players.

speed is probably THE biggest contributing factor in madden to determine who is elite and who is not

I'd take Larry Fitzgerald over Devin Hester in Madden any day. Things like route running, elusiveness and trucking determine who's elite.

Plus, there aren't many Raider fans so we need to stick together, lol. I'll first go a bit more in depth on what you just mentioned then hit the others quickly below.

Burgess was rated a 92 last year, played in 10 games, some of which he was hurt or didn't play the whole game. He got dropped 5 points. He's a 2x Pro Bowler that deserves the benefit of the doubt. If continues to play below this level, I'm sure EA will drop him more as they should.

Tommy Kelly was overrated last year at a 91 because he got a big contract. He played to his actually level last year which is an 80. He got dropped 11 points.

Keep in mind that from my perspective, individual ratings mean much more than the OVR:

He's a specialist. He can't catch or run. He's slow. If he's in the game, its for one purpose, to bulldoze the opponent, and the run blocking attributes reflect this.

It was late, mistake on my part. I agree.

I think they're just right, again look at the individual ratings for the Raiders OLine. They're better run blocking than pass blocking which I feel is accurate.

DMac & Bush by no means sucked last year. They both had 4.4 ypc averages albeit with limited attempts. So no argument there. However, I disagree about Fargas. He rushed for 853 yards last year with a 3.9 average while missing 2 and a half games due to injury.

I can see how he can have more SPD,AGL, and ACC, all of which dropped from the final roster of last year, but until he plays more snaps and does it again this year, I'm not too mad.

I agree on potential for Chaz, but bottom line he only had 15 catches last year. I REALLY like this kid, and hope he starts next to the rookie. I expect by mid-season the Raiders will be a very fun team to use on O.
My apologies for the misunderstanding. Great post.

Re: All Ratings Talk Here Per Millennium

Per EA the BEARS have the #4 best LB corp. This rating has to go higher with the late addition of Pisa Tinoasomoa. He,s a 100 plus tackle guy and fast SLB.

I have been unable to find his rating anywhere. What's ur best guess how far up do the Bears LB corp move with his addition and what's his rating??

I think they have to be ranked #1 or 2.

I would rank them #3 the highest. I would say Steelers are #1, then the Seahawks at #2.

I would rank them 4, 1. Steelers/2. Seahawks/3. Ravens/4. Bears.

Even if you do have them beat, with the way rookies are overrated, Curry + Lofa = #2 LB corp and I don't even know who the 3rd linebacker is.

Re: All Ratings Talk Here Per Millennium

Defensive stats are usually misleading due a lot of different schemes, and the fact that the 'Tackles' statistic is THE most misleading statistic in pro-football. Teams tally their own tackle numbers, and almost every team has a different definition of what constitutes as a tackle. Some teams will say if you just got a piece of the tackle then that counts as one, some don't factor that in.

It all depends on who is counting, so it's a very unreliable stat.

As far as just straight talent as seen by the naked eye, I'd say Steelers, Seahawks, Bears/Chargers, and then I think the Jets could actually end up with a really strong corps.
