Early look / prototype

Check out this video - it's a prototype I threw together to show a 'prep' move in between spins/jukes while sprinting. The first set of jukes / spins is the same as what you'd expect from last year...then around the :13 second mark i switch on the 'prep' or 'gather' moves while sprinting.

Disclaimer: This is NOT in the game yet or anything...I just roughed this together in our animation tool.

I want your opinions on this concept! What else would you like to see? What do you like/dislike?

If you use this as an opportunity to talk about how stupid I am to be asking for feedback, you probably won't be around long. Let's use this as a good opportunity to share ideas and suggestions and stuff like that, ok?

Looked at it twice, will study it some more, but it looks like a really good start. Here is a question. On the spin, is it possible to also to chain a stiff arm as you are coming out of it. And also, I'm watching Thomas Jones right now, he has a lot of mini cuts, is that possible as well? I'll study it some more later, gotta get into this game.

i like it...seems as if there are -in between- frames from one animation to another...the 'preps' as you say.

almost has a 2k5 look to it......i hate to keep using that reference...but that is my benchmark

does that movie show off all the potential 'juke moves'?

there is one in madden 09 where runner runs along then 'hops sideways 1-2 yards'...a bit unrealistic....is this project to smooth that type of juking out?

overall looks good

can't say enough good things about letting us get 'a look at whats behind the green curtain'
