YES better! Also can you have more than one animation, for example a big power back like say B.Jacobs does the "old" spin move and does no do it as good as say Westbrook and the "new" move. Look at the first video you posted on the Youtube link when the runner did his spin move @10sec mark he took up almost 3 squares to make and come out of his move. In the new one he does it in 1-1.5 squares! Good stuff

EDIT: LB beat me to it

I think that is a great idea. But make sure you allow us to choose who gets what like the sig animations in 2k games

Re: Early look / prototype

Looks good. I'd like to echo LB's question about chaining moves with this. A spin to stiff arm or even a spin to a plow forward kind of animation you see power backs attempt would be awesome coupled with this. Again though, looks good so far

EDIT: Weird, a bunch of these posts didn't show up at first...I only saw three when I posted. To add on the second video: I think the spin is too tight and fast (mainly the speed that bugs me) for many of the backs in the league. As has been said already, it's good for quicker backs, but some variety would be nice here.

If I'm not mistaken, the one in the second video is the one you see for QB's when they break past the line of scrimmage to run in '09. At least, I've only seen the QB's do that one in Madden '09 myself.

Agreed. Definitely looking tighter there, Ian.

Yes, we already have animation differentation based on the player's juke/spin rating.

Yes, man that is a good one. I think they should have chains.

Spin to stiff arm
Spin to plow forward
Spin to Shoulder Charge
Spin to Choppy feet then Juke

Then

Juke to shoulder charge
Juke to Stiff arm
Juke, choppy feet then spin
Juke, choppy feet then juke again

Then

Shoulder Charge to Spin
Shoulder Charge to Stiff Arm
Don't know what else to go with this hehe

I'm not as well versed in our animation tool as Simon is...I'll have to ask him how to do the move chaining. I know we can do it...I'm just not sure how to do it the best way.

This one is much more tighter, but like LB said, that one could be used for bigger backs like Jacobs, Lewis etc
