Seeing how the collisions affect the transitions will also tell us a lot.

One of the things that happens when you make a move in real life and you get hit mid-sentence is that you're often able to absorb the force and make another move bouncing off.

I also like the transition at the end when his running slows down to a jog and eventually stops. I thought that looked great.

The spin move is fine. If anything it could be slowed down a tad.

Just edited my post check out the video notice how he takes a bunch of small choppy steps before going into the spin move, in EA games you go from full sprint to big sweeping spin!

I agree...i think thats why MLB the show is very successful...one of the reasons anyway.

in that case i don't mind giving control to the animations...it helps to further the realism

great post Watcher

That just looks like he is because it is going to fast. If you pause at 10 seconds then keep pausing and playing real quick you can see that he doesn't take any steps. He kind of just jumps into the spin move.

It does look a whole lot better than Madden 09. I just hope all the animations turn out this smoothly.

No way! He slows down takes a bunch of choppy steps and then does his spin move! It would be humanly impossible to spin that quick running full speed!

It seems as though when the RB does his spin move he take way to big of a circle, in real life if the runner took the same radius he would be killed. The other animations look smooth but make the spin move tighter and shorter. In boxing terms make it a quick snap Jab instead of a big sweeping hook. Hope this made sense!
Good feedback - new one here. Thoughts?

Re: Early look / prototype

I see what you meant now, I was looking at a different spin move.

That new one looks great as well, maybe a little to tight for my taste though.

Basic running animation looks better in the other one but,
is it possible to have both of them. Have the first one for the bigger backs like Brandon Jacobs and LeRon McClain who are not really agile and cannot sprint really fast and spin and then have the second one for the smaller backs like Westbrook ect who take some short fast choppy steps then spin?
