Hey ian, do youplan on implementing an exreme cutback move. LT is very good at doing this. Its where like say you running a sweep or following a set of blockers and suddenly a good hole opens up to your left and your running right. LT stops dead and has that cutback but also doesnt lose a whole lot of speed. Its kind of like a juke but with a cutback that this one you shouldnt lose speed.

That's exactly what I was talking about but they need to add some momentum feature or something because the defenders don't lose speed or anything. It's like they expect you to cut or something.

And one lastnote about the video itself. can the actual running mocap be redone? The majority of the running aniamtions in madden have the runners looking like their bowlegged. A more natural running motion is needed. Also, madden and michaels are the commentary cast for ps2/xbox. How come not for next gen?

This sound promising.

Are simple cuts, as oppose to jukes, on topic for this post? Will we be seeing plant & goes? A back like Larry Johnson doesn't juke often, though he has a nice one in the below vid. But he cuts often. At :28 is a perfect example of what I'm talking about... more of a cutback than a juke. There are a couple more that I feel are more cuts than jukes.

And maybe a good plant system could allow for some manual jukes as well.

Cool beans. The prep steps look nice, and the tight spin was pulled off nicely as well. Seem animation quick a frame though, but I can imagine that can be smoothen up.

I would like to see more variety depending on player weight and momentum. A big player with momentum working against him should make him move slower and even fall sometimes if you pull off too many combo moves. As for smaller players, they can be more agile. Of course ratings are included in this as well. So if a player is big and have good agility, well he can still move nicely, but would be even quicker maybe if he was smaller.

Yea, I noticed that also, in the quick spin it seems as if it was missing a frame in there somewhere, if ya got a keen eye you can catch it. Just a prototype though.

A reaction along the lines of "meh, doesn't look like anything special" is obviously of no help to anyone here. I have no problems with you being critical. I want that feedback. But you have to give some more detail if you want me to address anything. We all want a good game here...so help a brotha out!
Ian, fix the game! 09's problems were not the animations. it was the lack or O-Line/D-Line interaction, it was qb's hitting there marks on EVERY throw, no blocking, the grfx glitch were 150+ animation were missing, & the lack of defensive secondary coverage. these are a start. don't offer new gimmicks and bring back the same gameplay with scotch tape holding it together...

that being said, mo cap your talent running WITH THE BALL. in 09, alot of players look as though their running w/o the ball and EA added it later...
