Nope I agree with you guys also. BUT I think Ian does actually give a ratz a$$ I think we all know the main problem with Madden is the core engine itself and we also know that EA would never scrap the next-gen engine and redo it. So he(Ian) is trying his best do make the next-gen work. Hopefully he can pull it off!

it was a little prototype video showing some minor animation changes it wasn't supposed to be anything more than that. for what the video was supposed to be showing there was a big difference. go play 09 and look for the little stutter steps in the video. also go do a spin move and compare it to the one in the videos.

they are small improvements meant to make the game look more realistic. they aren't earth shattering innovations that are gonna make everyone excited. i tend to think you guys complaining about these being the same as madden always is are expecting too much from something like this.

I expected a little bit more but these videos seem to be solid enough.

Eh, just the fact that players might have different spins based on their size is enough for me to be impressed. We won't be seeing signature animations or whatnot this year as Ian and co. are still tweaking the fundamentals of the game which is a good thing.... hold on, it's a great thing because I was not happy with the fundamentals in 09. People should thank their lucky stars that the devs aren't satisfied with the gameplay either because it still needs work.

Keep tweaking it guys, good work!

Not exactly sure how you can draw that conclusion from just a few fixes made to the gameplay...

Guys, if you're going to be critical of a minor fix, then you need to be ULTRA CLEAR about what you're expecting, or else I'm going to blow it off.

A reaction along the lines of "meh, doesn't look like anything special" is obviously of no help to anyone here. I have no problems with you being critical. I want that feedback. But you have to give some more detail if you want me to address anything. We all want a good game here...so help a brotha out!

Small question...If this is something you "threw together", how come you couldn't of just "threw it together" a long time ago??? Just wondering. I think it looks great, but it could of been done a while back.

he didn't work on Madden next gen up until now.

And I agree with BezO, I would love to know if foot planting and prep steps are going to be universal across the board.

It's like you get sucked into a tackle animation before you're able to attempt any kind of move. I know there's a thin line not to make these moves too good, but as of right now pulling off a double move is impossible and goes against the usefullness of this branching technology.
EXCELLENT POINT!

take note ian
