My idea for passing...

How about having a Universal Throwing button? My idea is to have one button that throws while having the Receiver buttons make the Quarterback look in that receiver. For example:

RT - Universal Throwing button (tap for lob, hold for bullet)
LB, RB, X,Y,B - Receivers
LT - Pump fake
A - Scramble

Once the ball snaps, you press the corresponding button to LOOK at that receiver, then press the Throw button to PASS. Or you can Pumpfake in that direction of the receiver you're looking at, look at another receiver, and throw the pass. You can highlight which receiver you will start out looking act once the ball snaps, this will work well for those quick slants and screens. I think this will tone down the arcadey passing.

Well, if Ian doesn't like multiple button presses to do things, he's really gonna hate this...lol. It's not bad, but I don't see it happenning. There's already a thread for this too, by the way

Some of what you're saying was in madden via the vision cone.

Imo, passing to a receiver in its current form is fine.

There just needs to be a more intuitive throw away button, better directional pumpfakes, and throw speed modifiers. (ie. lob, touch,bullet, normal)

Vision cone. Yes.

Sad as this is, there was a very similar feature to this in an old Sega Genesis Joe Montana football game (not sure which one). Tapping a button cycled to closer view of a certain wide-out.

IMO, Madden needs to be scrapped and totally redone. It simply is a failure.
