Do something with injuries. I am tired of seeing a guy get hurt and lay there motionless while everyone ignores him. Bring out the trainers. I hate to say this, but just look at 2k5.

Show the guy hurt, walking/being carried off the field. And then after the next play, walking towards the tunnel if it's serious.

One thing that would be cool is if your a visiting QB in an outrageous stadium ALA heinz field, as a visitor you see the crowd waving their terrible towels around...then stadium is so lud it drowns everything out...the controller is shaking due to the nerves and heartbeat of your QB. Cant see the play art becasue of the stadium. You see your QB lookin at the terrible pittsburgh defense and you see them taunting your qb. This stuff is what reall football fans want. Kinda like the michael vick experience (w/o the dogs) only the nfl experience. Heres an awesome video of some presentation...take note that this video is exactly waht we want:

+Add TEAM celebrations
-after big plays
-after touchdowns

To add on to what someone said earlier about injured players, there is a lot more interaction between teammates then what is currently shown in game now.

Re: What presentaion aspects do you want to see in Madden 2010?

- Better Atmosphere - Realistic Crowds - Get loud on 3rd, 4th and Big Plays. And specific situations - Crowd reaction - For instance if I throw a deep ball to a wide open receiver and he drops the ball the crowd goes OhhhhhHh!!

- Better Commentary - Commentators don't show any emotion - It makes the game boring. This is a game of emotions - Not even the players are emotional enough. Also have commentators talking about playoff implication in the last quarter of the season and the keys to success. More color commentary, If any player is having a great season talk about that. The stuff that real commentators talk about.

- Celebrations - Oh man. I really hate when I score a TD none of my teammates go to the end zone to greet me. I hate that! Have my teammates jump on me.

- Specific Situational Celebrations - If a make a last minute field goal I would like to see my teammates go crazy. If I make a last second TD catch have all my teammates pile all up over me for a few seconds. Have player recognizing the situations. All this while the commentator goes crazy.

- Injures animations - If a player goes down if a concussion or a career threading injury have teammates kneel down and pray for him. :P

- Towels -

- TATOOS!!! I want real tattos!!! We had this in the last generation!

make the crowd react to what is happening on the field

change the injury cutscene.. when a player gets injuried have him react to his injury.. like if he hurts his foot he grabs his foot or might try and walk it off.. and also what might be cool would be to have injury specific animations like having someones leg get caught on the turf and someone rolls up on it, or twisted ankle.. and bring out the trainers.. also what could be cool would be to have a player wear a protective splint or something if he injuries his pinky (tony romo) or like a cast or something

Re: What presentaion aspects do you want to see in Madden 2010?

(See the Wishlist thread to keep track of my entire idea series. More to come soon. STAY TUNED!)

14. Interactive Presentation Part 2: The Playcall screen; Sleeker, cooler, and adding to the presentation...

The PIP concept of Madden 09 was nice and a bit of its functionality should carry over to 2010, but it had several presentation-hindering issues. For one, it cut you off from the on-field happenings/scenery. It didn't make the best use of available space. And finally, it just didn't have that sleek edge to it.

The concept video for "Madden Next Gen" had the look down pat. It not only looked sleek and cool, it gave you a big picture window made perfectly to show scenes of things happening, from coaches talking to players, to players huddling, to fans celebrating. The marketing guys had the right idea in mind. It's time to actually use that idea to add the presentation and atmosphere that this game is desperately in need of. I give you my concept of the Madden 2010 playcalling screen:

Playcall screen: The beginning of calling the play

-A couple of things you'll notice... *I'm using the completely across topbar style. This style is broadcast standard... *The number of Timeouts and Challenges you have is still visible atop the playcall box just as it is in Madden 09.

-I'm thinking that plays could automatically magnify when you move your stick over them.

Playcall screen 2: Using the right stick drop-down menu

-When you click the right stick, a second menu drops down with several options that you can move your stick down to, which is the same as Madden 09, except sleeker.

-When you click the right stick and the menu drops down, replay is the first on the list, to ensure that replays can be jumped into quickly. Also, because it's the first on the list, the program will recognize to play the replay in the large picture window the very second you pull the menu down. When you click the stick again over the replay option, the replay will go into full screen leaving the playcall area entirely just like selecting instant replay in the Madden 09 PIP does now. When you click 'B' you leave the full screen replay and go back to the playcall screen.

For this demonstration I'll use player stats as an example, so lets say you just moved the right stick down to "Player stats"... here is what happens when you do that...

Playcall screen 3: Using the right stick drop-down menu

-You just pressed 'B' so the right stick drop-down menu went away, and all that would remain is a small tab/icon under the topbar in that spot indicating that there is a drop-down menu to be selected any time by clicking the right stick.

-Whether the menu is up or not at the time, moving the stick left or right while in player stats will allow you to cycle through the player stat/picture cards just like moving the stick up and down did in Madden 09.

Playcall screen 4: Using the right stick drop-down menu

-You click the right stick to bring the menu back down again. This time, you move the right stick down to the Player stat option and you click the right stick over that option. Doing this gives you a full screen of the player stat/picture card, and you can cycle through cards in full screen by moving the right stick right or left

-You can press 'B' to leave the full screen card any time and return to the playcall screen.

Things to take note of:

*I changed the way the stats are read. In Madden 09 a runningbacks stat card would read:

RUSH YDS 37
RUSH TDS 0
RUSH ATTS 5

... yeah, that's not the proper broadcast format. It's supposed to be:

CAR
YDS
TD or TD's

For QB's its:

COMP
ATT
YDS
TD or TD's
INT or INT's

Sleeker without losing options or functionality, more serious-looking, more broadcast-like. That should be the goal.

Re: What presentaion aspects do you want to see in Madden 2010?

If Presentation Is not EA's #1 Priority, then something is wrong. The lack of Excitement is what has killed Next Gen madden for me. I remember playing NCAA 05 on my PS2 and that game's presentation was awesome.

We all know what the Holy grail of Video Game presentation is, so i wont mention it. But The Outstanding Atmosphere in 2k5 made us overlook some of the Gameplay issues. If Madden had ESPN 2k5's Presentation and Atmosphere with a Awesome Franchise mode I would go to gamestop right now and put my Preorder in.

Now i would Completely understand if Madden could not get the full Presentation for Online games, but make this Game Exciting. The Fact that the NFL is on right now and i am not playing Madden kills me. The only reason is the lack of Excitement, There is seriously no reason to play more than one franchise season.

I have said it once and i will say it again, for Monday Night Football games, there is ABSOLUTELY no reason why there are no ESPN presentation. You guys paid a buttload of money for ESPN, so for the love of god, USE IT.

Fact is, if the presentation is not dramatically improved I will not buy it. I will probably rent it, but i will make sure EA gets no money from me. Everyone wants amazing presentation, so give it to us.

You know the other funny thing is that there is an injury cart near the stadium entrance. What's the point of it even being there if it's never used in the game

It's just a waste of good polygons.
