Romo throws side arm though. Also, why should Aaron Rodgers get a sig animation over top qbs like Brady, Hasselbeck, Brees, and Palmer?

I believe they can share. It'll come off as me being bias as a 'Boys fan, but only a handful of QB's have such uniqueness to their passing style that it should require a signature animation. What makes some QB's stand out are simply some of things you outlined earlier such as Brady pointing out blitzers pre-snap. But I don't think there's anything out-of-the-ordinary in Brady's pass delivery. So definitely, the majority of the standard over-hand passers should default to the standard animation.

palmer throws over the top too and it looks nothing like brady's. sorry, but i would be really pissed off if all the over hand throwers were stuck with the same animations.

The "little things" make sports games great. It's what makes us feel like we're watching an NFL game on TV. I would love to see QB specific throwing motions and drop backs. Thanks for doing this.

Muhsin Muhammad puts the ball b/w his legs after a big play or TD.
Many defenders flex and point to their biceps after a big play. Hester changes his celebrations, but for the most part, he leans forward on one foot and spreads his arms like Superman. When a defense gets a safety, the players imitate the referee's signal for a safety. Some players like to do the hula when they know they're going to the pro bowl. Sorry no images, but if you go to gettyimages.com and type in (ex. Devin Hester celebrations) you should get pictures of it.

I would also look into stadium specific chants and pregame rituals like Ray Lewis coming out of the tunnel.

Re: Need community help!!! Player/Team animations

Would it be out of line to ask for team celebrations, like actual team celebrations - none of the fluff (showboating). There has to be emotion presented in these celebrations - but I do not want to see a specific player celebration on a game winning touchdown play after a 15-play 85 yard drive.

Maybe watching any football-movie (even the Little Giants!) at all would help figuring out how to put the emotion into celebrations, because they are not scripted celebrations, it is utter, blissful, chaos - that is the moment in which a sport grabs hold of you, I think if y'all can make someone feel that kind of emotion towards a video game - you've pleased everyone.

And J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS! I know that isn't a specific animation, sorry for going OT a little bit, but every stadium and crowd also has signature quirks.

Re: Need community help!!! Player/Team animations

One thing that Madden should add in regards to celebrations is the team celebrations after big plays, especially on defense. If I blitz and stop a guy short on 3rd down late in the game, he should pop up and flex or do some celebration as the teammates rush in to push/shove him or some other celebration.

To get some ideas, just watch some highlights of defense. I'm sure EA knows what I'm talking about already, but I thin kit would add a lot to the game.

After watching some video you are correct, the only way that they are similar is in the "wrist flick". The ball height, drop back, release point, etc. are all very different.

Re: Need community help!!! Player/Team animations

I remember you guys had this back in madden 05 but I have not seen it since. My boy McNabb does the moon walk sometimes after rushing in a TD

I dont really have a video for this one but Kerry Rhodes points to the crowd a lot to get them pumped up on third downs. He jumps up and down and motions his arms in a pump it up motion.

OT: Maybe you can have some x factor that plays into getting the crowd extra hyped. Certain guys like Rhodes, Shockey, etc just get the crowd hyped with their antics. Just a thought.

Also when he gets a pick, he usually does the celebration below with a teammate

or if you want to go specific animation. He had this great pic vs the steelers
