Re: Some news about Madden NFL 2010

I buy the game every year, because I love football.

And by default, I enjoy ncaa and madden. I don't find faults or flaws. Just enjoy it for what it is. The closest (only) thing to football simulation.

I'm a franchise guy through and through, and can't wait for the 2010 franchise. I though the 08/09 was pretty decent.

Food for thought, Imagine how good Madden 2020 will be, when you compare madden 09 to 93.

Re: Some news about Madden NFL 2010

Now I haven't played Head Coach so I don't know if any of this stuff is in there, but here are some things that have been on my personal wishlist for years.

I think if Franchise mode got a makeover I'd be willing to give it a shot again. I didn't even touch last year's, and in previous years it was my favorite part of the game.

Some things that I'd like to see in Franchise mode is:

Realistic injuries/injury report
From what I've seen, a player gets hurt. You are told he is out for however long, he comes back and that's it. It's either out or active. Very little use of questionable/doubtful statuses. Also, realistically there are players always on injury reports.

I get that some people might not think it's fun to play certain games without several important players. But I think there is also fun in developing your backups and making sure the bottom of your roster is strong too, and not so top-heavy.

Choosing to dress players from your 53-man roster
I believe the limit of players dressed in the NFL are 45 for a game. Are you going with 2 quarterbacks or 3? Two of your starting LBs are playing despite being on the injury report all week, do you dress an extra LB for insurance?

Not necessarily related to franchise but...
How about some suspense on fumble recoveries?
I think it is genuinely exciting to see a fumble, hear a player yell "Ball!" and watch a dogpile form.

The ref runs over and starts pulling players off, and all throughout you don't know which way this is going, you're watching players from each team pointing in their direction, when finally the player with the ball stands up, hands the ball to the ref, the ref points in that direction, and the crowd erupts.

I'm not saying this is how all fumbles in Madden should be, but on occasion this could be cool.

On a related note, how about some suspense with chain measuring
This was in Madden 98, why is it gone?

With Phil and Ian being posters on this forum, I couldn't help but post in hopes my ideas get considered.

Have a good day.

I love the fumble idea dude! I created a wishlist yesterday of things that I'd like to see in Madden 2010's franchise mode...I may have to add that idea (you'd get credit of course)....

WRONG.

Franchise is not GOOD ENOUGH.

They need to focus on making OFFLINE franchise better before they focus on ONLINE franchises.

agreed, however madden 2013 better improve leaps and bounds over 2008, compared to what 2008 did compared to 2003 it is borderline a worse game, they need to keep improving these games, i really think that's all that people want.

We don't really expect perfection now, we just expect ea to keep working towards it. the huge steps backwards they take in some areas are what is inexcuseable.
