GREAT NEWS!

At the very LEAST it speaks to the fact that Madden 10 will likely have a changed/upgraded/tweaked/enhanced Franchise Mode.

I don't mind Madden not having all the features HC has, but how about Madden at LEAST gets the features that HC STOLE from Madden in the first place? For example, the ability to create plays.

I think, considering the existence of head coach, Madden's franchise should probably take a slightly different course.

Head Coach is from the perspective of an NFL Head Coach, obviously, and focuses on player management and personnel. Perhaps Madden's could focus more directly on the General Manager role, with more business decisions, a stronger focus on media interaction, etc..

Yes and the actual Roster size limit too, complete with practice squads and IR options

I think this might happen only when they decide to stop producing the Head Coach series. Makes sense unfortunately.

Re: Some news about Madden NFL 2010

Who replaces him on the Head Coach team? Will he still work on or act as a consultant to Head Coach?

EA Sports is like that annoying little brother.... they can piss you off... a LOT.... but every once and a while (when they do something NICE) you're just happy they are a part of your life.... i love ea sports... they make some bad decisions sometimes... but overall i'm a pretty happy camper right now... now that we actually discuss the game with the developers and whatnot.. i feel so much closer to ea sports... like we're part of the same family.... anyways ya i'm stoked, i've been waiting for EA to give some love to the franchise mode... i'm eager to see the new direction it goes...
