Yeah pretty much.

Wait... did I miss something? What exactly did he state that made you "feel a little better?"

He explained the sliders but I don't see how they impact the CPU. I still feel like we're at square one when the topic first arose.

Someone help me out here.

So, to make the CPU less-effective offensively you have to purposefully dumb-down your defense?

Am I way off on this? This is all so confusing.

This is what is puzzling to me, the videos of the DVD demo which was a months old build had lots of off line throws, in fact if the user was on the move or not set most of the time his throws were off line.

Fast forward to the actual game and it's almost as if someone said it's too much tone it down and then we get what you're seeing. Much loike the kick coverage difference between the NCAa demo and released game.

I'm very curious to get an explanation on this as well because it seems to me as if someone made the call to not have a lot of offline throws.

So far, with what we know, that appears to be the case. Dumb down might be a strong way of putting it. Its the same as when you drop INT to 0, you are lessening the ability. But yes, most of the affects to CPU seem to be done through adjusting HUM play

No. To make the CPU less effective you have to raise your defensive sliders.

Bill,

That slider has always had an effect on Arm Strength, not accuracy, from what I've seen. Physics of throws alter from that slider.
That's not true. It's actually affected both.

In NCAA, I took TTU QB and put him at 0 accuracy. He threw the ball with the same speed but would throw the ball all over the place.

Problem here was that EA and intentionally programmed "special delivery" interceptions. No matter where you want to throw the ball, the AI will force the ball to go directly to the DB.

Re: More info on CPU Sliders (from EA)

I know this is just speculation, but isn't it possible that the super accurate QB's is one of the things planned on being fixed with the Aug. 12 patch. That was an issue with NCAA, and Ian did infer that they put the patch together based on the negative feedback from NCAA. I think it is reasonable to think that this will be addressed in the first patch. Perhaps Ian can confirm or give us a clue if it will be addressed.
