Re: More info on CPU Sliders (from EA)

Reading that again, it seems most everything can be covered, and to a greater degree than before, with different ways to enahnce or detract from reaction time for both running and passing, vs having an overall awareness.

Items that dont look to be "tweaked" (imo):

CPU QB ACC
CPU WR Catch
CPU D AWR

Actually there is alot we cant directly impact, but we can work around it with HUM sliders. I.E. We cant make the CPU pass block better or worse, but we can adjust HUM pass rush better or worse to adjust. We cant fix CPU Running ability, but we can adjust HUM Run D reaction and shed block...... so most can be fixed to some degree.

Any items im missing that cant be tweaked?

So Rookie would have all settings to 0, Pro to 5, All Pro to 10, All Madden to 15 and then level 20 is for those that need to find another hobby, right?

Unless I'm reading the explanation completely wrong, that's not exactly true.

If they build All Madden so that we're facing Robo QB who throws 90% of his passes over the middle for a high completion %, we're stuck with him doing that. The only way to bring down the CPU's passer rating is to play at the lower levels, which means you'll be facing basically no defense or anything.

It just seems like they're assuming they've put together the perfect game and there's no need to fix the CPU's sliders. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

That seems like the theme for both NCAA and Madden in 09...hopefully 2010 puts it all together+presentation

Yeah, thanks for addressing this after someone else brought it to our attention and a 60 page thread blew up because of something you neglected to mention weeks ago. Appreciate it.

My last post on the Madden 09 board, I'm done. You guys have fun with it and hopefully the other issues which show up in the final retail version aren't entirely crippling.

But considering past performance, we all know what's going to happen on August 12th. Multiple glitches show up and the board implodes. Glad I won't be here to deal with it.

Well since every post that expresses someones dislike of the new system is either locked or the member is punished I will just say that if this feature doesn't work or its glitchy, like most of the features you guys put into games, will EA step up and fix it. Or will it be something that will be addressed "NEXT YEAR"?

So you can't change the likeliness of a Knockdown?

Interceptions will only allow you to determine whether or not they actually catch an Int., right?

Man, don't we all look stupid now? People always whine about EA's changes.

Maybe editing the QB individual rating?
