Now I'm getting confused. This was in response to( CPU INT stats ) posted by Ian on game stats. I thought we cant effect the CPU INT by tweaking it down?

The lack of CPU sliders isn't a huge deal to me and was obviously a design decision. And I will give the developers credit for participating on open forums.

However, the robo QB issue is a complete gamebreaker. It effects every single portion of gameplay. It makes defense worthless and makes a running game unimportant.

I was really looking forward to buying this game day one but now I have to wait for the user reviews to come in.
Whoaa, I wouldn't judge anything off the demo. There's not a lot of dropped passes in the demo, you must be playing the wrong game. I could nail the receiver 100% of the time if he's open. Even the long balls I can make the catches. Whoever has the full version of madden can speak louder then us. We have only tested a demo which in my opinion is too easy. When you take the IQ test, you'll get to a part where you need to throw passes to targets without knowing the play. Try to practice that a lot so that your vision in real situations can help you succeed rather then knowing your going to throw it to a set reciever. Trust me, it helps when your receiver is doubled or covered pretty tight.

I certainly saw a TON of dropped passes (wide open) in the demo. At least one per drive. But yeah, I'm not judging much off the demo.

Why would EA do this? Seriously, what is the reasoning behind this? Who said, its a good idea to remove CPU sliders?

I really hope you are right and its just the demo, but just so you know I did score all madden on rush and pass offense. Maybe thats why the game altered my offense and therefore causing dropped wide open passes? I think, judging by early reports, the game code has no way of making inaccurate throws by either the user or cpu, so instead the game just uses dropped passes or ints.

EA: You’re breakin’ my balls here! You’re breakin’ my balls.

OS posters: I’m sorry, but we must be firm with you. Improve this game or else!

EA: Or else what?

OS posters: Or else we will be very, very angry with you...and we will write you a letter, telling you how angry we are.

EA: OK. I’ll improve the game, but first you must stand to your reft.

OS poster: [Moves to the left]

EA: A rittle more.

OS poster: [Moves to the left again]

EA: Good. [Opens up trap in floor, OS poster falls in, is eaten by a shark]

"Combined with all the platforms it was released on Madden 08 sold approximately 1.8 million copies. That would be drop from last year's 2 million and just about in line with what Madden 06 did. However that decrease in the overall number was expected considering the heavier shift from one console generation to the next."(pastapadre)

I know what you're saying. I am just saying that 300 hardcore sim guys on OS compared to 5-7 million copies sold? EA is not losing sleep over what is said at OS. To boot, half the guys on here will bitch for the next two weeks and then will stand in line in front of Gamestop at 11:59.

I have to believe EA corporate isn't sending memo's to Ian stating "Let's get those 300 OS guys on board with our plan of action."

Try lowering your IQ and see how that works out. About 95% of the time I catch my own passes. The 5% is if I don't control my receiver in time and most of the time I have a defender in my face. You'll see dropped passes or INT's that way. Ya, only a demo. I'm sure you guys will do better and like the game a whole lot more once it releases. I'm not a madde fan since they destroyed the game but this one looks promising. I'm actually excited to play the full version.

Do do madden list:
1. Clean the room
2. Take a shower
3. Kick everyone out of the house
4. Order Pizza
5. Crank up the surround sound
6. Say your madden prayers
7. KICK SOME ***!!!
