Some of you guys can drink the Kool-Aid all you want, but I am very sceptacle that adjusting Human sliders and proper level settings along with Adaptive AI is going to take the place of just having some stinking CPU sliders.

I really hated Madden 08 after YEARS of playing Madden, imo, I think it was the worst ever, and that is not hyperbole. I will certainly rent Madden 09 first, and play it for a while to make an educated decision. I hope my speculation is wrong, I really do

I have a hard time believing that. If Ian and Phil didn't care, they would not be posting on these boards. Really, they have zero incentive financial wise to be here. You said it yourself, it will sell like hot cakes. The reason they're here is because they take pride in their work. Unfortunately, that doesn't always translate into success because the machine(EA) is more powerful than the cog(Ian).

The cynical side of me thinks that this "patch" is a way to get people to buy the game hoping that issues will be addressed. The fact that they haven't announced what is in the patch a mere 11 days before the game hits is kind of telling.

If I'm way off, I'll admit to being wrong, but that's my .02
I fear you are correct.

Ian and EA will never win. Thats just the way it is going to be. The game could be rated a perfect 10 and people will find a way to be-little it.
The sad thing is people are killing it without even playing it yet lol. Please rent it atleast before you make you crazy remarks. I'm sure the people who do have it and are saying robo qb just dont have the slider skillz to make the game fun for them.

Also keep in mind that this is a video game. It will NEVER be the real thing. Once you can understand that you will learn to enjoy the game. The game looks amazing, from what I hear plays amazing. I'm sure it will have its little problems but not enough from stopping my enjoyment of it.

Honestly, I doubt there will even be a patch. The silence is deafening just like the original silence on all the slider questions a few weeks ago and the silence regarding franchise mode. And if there is a patch that comes out it will probably be of no use whatsoever. Maybe it will be EA popups that they managed to program on xbox's just like a pc. I better invent an xbox pop up blocker. I can be rich!

I agree. If the game does have robo QB there will be no way to fix it without CPU sliders. Adjusting HUM pass rush and/or interceptions will just skew sacks and ints but have no real affect on accuracy.

I think they care also, or they wouldn't be posting. The team just needs to be more cohesive, imo.
