Yes. No slider in 09 will ever have DIRECT effect on the CPU ratings.

A lack of them just leads to incredible frustration when the numbers don't look right. More control and more customization please.
Agreed.

I know some would like to say that "we used to be in a day where we didn't have sliders", but we also had a day where we didn't have a franchise mode. Today's games that come without some sort of mode that's pretty much standard these days get ripped. And they should.

Games should be progressing, not going back to the days of yore, and it shouldn't be an excuse to remove progression.

Good luck fellas. I don't have the patience for it anymore. Tailoring a football video game shouldn't require you to go through hoops and stand on one leg while keeping both pointer fingers in the air.

The basketball video games can't come fast enough.
Agree with you..When you have a developer on these boards talking about workarounds before the game is even released there is a big big red flag that should go up!!!...Incredible

Re: More info on CPU Sliders (from EA)

I can just see it now.....

Madden 2010:
"All New CPU sliders!"

Oh and by the way, the explanation from I Ian doesn't really change anything. Bottom line, there isn't any CPU sliders at all. Wait till next year i guess for this feature to return. But hey, maybe those human sliders do actually work, and make your defense a lot better against the pass. More knockdowns and such. Just as long the CPU passing isn't perfect in completion percantage, i'll live. I just don't want to be playing against the CPU and them being 17 of 20 in passing with 1 or 2 picks on a consistant level during a franchise. I wanna see 16-27...21-34...24-42 type games with minimal INTS for the CPU consistantly. And with that, we'll have realisitic stats....if that is what is possible, then I won't complain as much. But I do feel not having CPU sliders, cuz I would always alter them for about a day or 2 figuring out the best results for me and challenging wise

Ok... I am trying to be polite here, but REALLY? Tavaris Jackson with a completion percentage of 69% and 73%? What universe is that from? The big point is not even the completion percentage anyway, but how did the incompletions happen? Were they over or underthrown or were they all batted away, dropped our bounced around like a pinball?

Again, I don't want to misspeak, and the devs are free to correct me on this, but leaving CPU sliders out was a design decision. As a result, they won't be added on as a patch, because they were left off with a purpose (with respect to the new AI system, I'd assume).

If I'm way off, I'll admit to being wrong, but that's my .02

I agree 1000%

I dont no why EA reads these posts in the frist place they say
we care about the commuinty but I dont think so well maybe a little
they give us a patch or 2 now and then if they listen to us at all they wood put what we want in the game they want all of us to play online or
head to head offline becaue I think it covers up alot of flaws that you see playing CPU, they put what they want in the game not so much what we want EA has went down hill every sents 2K cant make

made me feel like they have did it this time got thinks right and again right before lunch the game sounds like we are gonig to be let down again its the same old story make wonder want game they were playing with in may its just funny EA kinda
