What in the hell were the community guys doing at Ea when they had the game to play for two days. Not one person noticed that there were no cpu sliders and that the cpu qbs were way too accurate. This is just baffling.

1. The IQ is an option...if you want the game to "adapt" to you, then you can use IQ to do so (it fluctuates up and down as you play...and the fluctuations are in essence a bunch of HUM slider adjustments)
2. I sure hope not...but I'm not a content expert on 09 yet so I don't know if I can say that with total confidence.
3. Still waiting for this to be approved but we will definitely release this in it's own thread as soon as we can.
4. The sliders are what kind of make up the skill level now. So if you are at all pro, the HUM sliders are 1/4 of the way up. If you are All Madden, they are at 0. You can start with All-Madden and then tweak them from there (like maybe if you are having too difficult of a time running the ball)...and that then changes your skill level to "custom".

Phil, i mean no disrespect when i say/ask this, but this seems to be a continuing problem on some of the bigger EA franchises. You;re right first off, whats done is done, our "yelling" is venting (somewhat cathartic) but trying to get yours (EA's) attention. It seems that each year there is something big. I can only reference NCAA and Madden, as that is most of what i play) but the issues with NCAA are obvious both this year and last year. Last year was the franchise glitch for Madden, and maybe something else (didnt own it more than a week). I think we are trying to understand how decisions like this are made, but also why time and effort is spent to put in "extra" features versus refining whats in place. We want a truly customizable football game that allows the casual guys their fun and us sim guys are fun. We dont need cutesy stuff to be added.........

Again, not trying to pee in your cheerios, but trying to let you (EA) understand why we are angry..........it always seems to be something. Im sure it doesnt matter, but im sure a little bit of money has been lost tonight with this announcement.

Does anyone else find it strange that, being a "design decision", it wasn't known until now? It's not a bug, but rather a planned move, but not something EA wanted to mention before? Isn't that kind of admitting to themselves at the time it isn't a good design decision?

Completely and utterly baffling. But EA's history with Madden is *packed* full of similiar incomprehensible decisions, which us PC fans are particularly too familiar with. It seemed every year a feature was taken out. Custom team franchises being the biggest I remember.

C'mon Phil.

We all appreciate you guys being here, but did you guys really think this was going to just slip by the "sim" crowd without causing an uproar?

This reminds me of when I failed geometry in high school. I knew that F was coming for weeks, but than I tried to act as surprised as my parents were when the report card came.

We love you guys being here, but this is pretty weak.

That being said I think it's better than shipping a game with CPU sliders that do nothing at all.
