Ugh, i didnt even think about some of the other things that could go wrong. We can use the sliders (HUM) to tweak certain stuff, but like Ian said, how do you use HUM sliders to affect CPU pass catching? qb accuracy? defensive awareness? run blocking?

I'll admit it, this game has just become a rental. I was ready to buy sight unseen, as i did NCAA, and i have never EVER rented a NCAA or Madden, this will be the first time. I am personally tired of these oversights and "different directions" the game(s) have taken. Im sorry, but NCAA is fun, but not college football right now, its (to use someone elses word) a half polished turd. I had high hopes taht Madden would be better. Last year, i bought Madden, played 3 games and sold it on Ebay. First time in at least 8 years ( i think) that i didnt make it thru year 1 in franchise). Thought this year would turn it around.........now i cant change the game to play how i want on both sides......

Exactly when did it become a bad thing to be a "sim" player?

I promise you, folks keep saying if the "sim" guys are pissed, it won't make much of a dent...but there are a lot more of us out there than most people think.

Sure, there are more little 12 year olds who want to score touchdowns on every single play, but the buying power of the late 20s/early 30s mature "sim" football fanatic is a valuable resource in my eyes and the way that we are starting to get spat on is really disappointing.

It's common knowledge that the NFL is responsible for the exclusivity, but I remember when the announcement was first made, EA came out with their PR spin about how gamers shouldn't be concerned, they should relax, that EA was going to continue to strive to be the best because if anything, they felt MORE pressure to deliver since they were the only NFL game in town.

After this (latest) discovery, it's obvious everyone's fears were justified.

Perhaps the only comfort (and a weak one at that) is if the cpu QB's stats are consistently semi-realistic regardless of why.

Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!!! Someone posted earlier that somebody at EA needs to be fired and I agree. How can this happen?? So Ian had a good reason for ducking the sliders question in the other threads. He knew what was going on and just flat out lied to us so his company can get our dollar. Ridiculous! Ian jokingly posted that he is ducking the flying chairs....... well I think that would be a no brainer in person, if he was in front of the majority of this board. I really hope they have the worst Madden sales of all time unless this is fixed. I been a huge Madden player since the Genesis days and also have several Live and NCAA's also. Not this year. Great job Madden team
