That begs the question, how the hell did this get through? Who made the call? If we (and by we i mean individual gamers) think that the CPU does any of that, or not enough we have NO WAY to fix it. None, Zero.......anyone see a problem with that?

It seems time in the dev cycle is spent on the wrong things. Next gen has been a let down. Instead of adding features, which may be nice, but are a bonus (madden moments, TRON madden, skill level etc) why isnt that time and space spent fixing AI, tweaking gameplay and making the game play like a game of football. (and im not saying Madden has no elements of football, it does a pretty good job, but it needs to do an excellent job(

What a moronic decision. Is this due to the CPU sliders not working in NCAA? Great job by the people in charge of this project. Bravo.

And when we had those games. Most of the sim players were always saying and posting about being able to have sliders and have a little more control.

Just becuase there were games without sliders doesnt mean we want to go back to those games. Why take away the little bot of control we did have over the way the game plays?

Clearly many are pissed with this design decision. We get it. We've got to figure out a way to move forward now.

Let Ian and I do some homework tomorrow with the folks that helped make this decision. I promise we'll provide some additional context on why this happened within this thread. I don't promise you will agree with the call but we'll give context regardless.

We'll also discuss workarounds or other solutions to this. I'm hopeful something can be done but we'll know more tomorrow when we can talk to the design team.

A casual observer might think that the use of sliders were known to interfere negatively with the new adaptive AI and they were axed in order to protect the feature... just thinking out loud.

With that said, this is one of those things that is purely indefensible. I'm a casual player and even I use sliders in Madden, lol. Granted they didn't work much in Madden '08, but I still used'em. I can't imagine playing the game without adjusting them.

It's time to start handing out some pink slips. I'm not a guy that likes to call for people's jobs, but somebody has got to go or at least some responsibilities need to be reassigned. The terrible uniform mistakes are one thing, but now you've got something that affects the entire game, and it's one of those things you'd never even think would be missing... but here we are.

I just don't know what happened since 2005. This whole thing has just never been the same since. I was really planning on buying Madden day one, but now it looks like I'll be renting it first like I did with NCAA this year. This has been a 4 year nightmare that appears will never end. How in the world did we get to this point?
