New and More Sliders!!

Well, i love the mob mentality, so i figured i'd jump in to. Im obviously pissed, like everyone else about this decision. All these new features, on both games (NCAA and Madden) but you guys are taking out things that are essential to the game and that have been there for years. I dont care about Madden Moments, or Virtual Training, i want sliders, i want to get pressure on the QB. I dont care about wide open gameplay or cheerleaders, i want to play a real game of football. This next gen stuff has been horrible so far, absolutely horrible.

How do you just go on and remove sliders? At what point does that seem like a good decision? It just feels like we, as a community, as potential consumers are getting hosed on this. I dont want to dumb down the defense bc i suck at passing, i want to learn how to pass. I dont want the CPU to change how hard they play me every game, what if i have an awesome game or terrible day, will the play the opposite the next game?

Couple questions, some probably wont get answered (which is fine) but it would be appreciated.

1) To reference above. Lets say i have a pretty good Madden IQ. If i have a great game against the CPU, will it be harder next game? Conversely, if i suck and cant do anything, will it ease up on me? The reason i ask is, i dont want to play lets say the Steelers D one week and get killed and then play the Bucs D (or another good D) and have them go easy just bc last week i stunk it up
2) Are we in for any other surprises?
3) Details of the patch? Or an idea of what it might cover?
4) We can only alter sliders for HUM on Custom level? Not on My Skill or All Madden, All Pro etc?
5) Do the sliders work? (Has to be asked after NCAA)
6) Do the dev teams understand how frustrated we are with NCAA and now Madden following with this news? I understand its not the end of the world, but cmon.

Ian, i know you are the messenger of some of this, and it sucks to have to (from your side) hear all this and while you may not personally be responsible for it, you are the face we have to respond to. It seems to be that EA has pretty much told us to bend over and lube up with some of the decisions being made. Ben Haumiller's interview on NCAA and how defense isnt dumbed down is outrageous, thats a bold faced lie.

Again, i apologize if this seems like an attack or a kick in the nuts, its not meant to be that, just venting and letting you know how I, and maybe how others feel. This seriously dampers the enthusiasm when we cant tweak the game at all levels.

But i do appreciate the candor, and hope this is the last bit of bad news you have to deliver (for our sake and yours)

I'm trying to not get too up in arms. Again, IF THE HUMAN SLIDERS WORK, run def, pass def, db reaction time, etc. should allow us enough tweaks that we can get things to most of our likings ( I hope). At least all of the slider adjustments will have the same baseline therefore less variables.

This truly is upsetting news. I'm really going with a rental now. Sad; This was the game I was going to go with after the disaster that is NCAA.

I find it extremely odd people can act so outraged then continue to buy the game as if nothing happened. Something needs to change with the way these games are produced. Too many minor issues are being let through the cracks just to meet deadlines. Either increase the size of the team or change who focuses on what.

But of course that won't happen until people stop buying the game. And they won't. No matter what happens. This is as drastic a scenario I've seen and it still doesn't make a difference to some of the buying public.

I agree as most of us are not attacking Ian because he has no control but I hope with him being here he does his job relays our issues to those who have a say in all of this.

I remember when Madden had no fatigue, they said "well, its fair for both sides".

I hope this year's glitch response isn't. We don't NEED CPU Sliders because our AI automatically adapts to your game!

Thanks but no thanks. We want customization to meet realism, not just give us supermen on the field to give us a challenge.
